Dr. Saif Jaffery, MD

-Charged me $160 for a 17 minute session. -He communicated one plan to me with regards to FMLA paperwork only to change the plan after I was to return to work. (He informed me that the FMLA was extended and not to worry, then two days after I was originally required to report back to work he told me I was ready to go back to work and it was not extended. Dr. Jaffery put me in an unprofessional situation which caused more anxiety and stress. My supervisors did not understand his plan as it was evident he did not understand my profession after two months of meeting with me. - He does not offer psychotherapy nor does he suggest finding it as a part of the therapy process. -He became frustrated when only medication was not helping due to continued presence of side effects. He not only continued on medication but increased the dosage- Please be careful, this guy is dangerous.

I had an initial appointment with Dr. Jaffery over telehealth. Although I was in the Zoom meeting, he was not able to get his teleconferencing software to work. He offered to do the session over the phone. When I asked if patient care was effective just over the phone, he said that there were no studies, so we could not do it. He then said something must be wrong with my hardware as other patients did not have this problem. He did not apologize and did not offer any kind word. It was a big step for me to show up to his office, and I feel hurt that he was quite curt, blamed me, and offered no kindness for his mistake. As another provider in this field, I am well aware of the fact that this manner is absolutely not okay. He told me to call his office to reschedule. I will not be returning as a patient.

I called because insurance company said they were accepting new patients. The receptionists asked me what insurance company and what meds my former MD had me on. I told her and she in her infinite secretarial wisdom said "He doesn't prescribe that"( a very common pharmaceutical). I said "what? I need a doctor to tell me that". she just said "no" and hung up on me. I am seriously considering legal action against this woman and the "doctor". Unless she is an MD she is getting trip to civil court. Avoid these racists idiots.

Good luck getting any callback. I tried to make an appointment 4 times by email and have called 3 times and spoke to someone even addressed that I had concerns that no one was getting back to me. Its almost like they take my information and just throw in the trash. web site states Accepting new patients. This is very frustrating A simple yes or no question on if he would see me from being out of state pretty simple question that is still unanswered. I would have to say that reviews say a lot and should have paid closer attention and not wasted my time.

I'm going to start with - it doesn't get much worse than this quack! Saif Jaffrey is a horrible psychiatrist that has no interest in helping you. He assumes what you mean, barely speaks English well enough to understand, and clearly is not in the business of helping people. Turned away at the first visit without even hearing what had to be said. How can you create a relationship with a psychiatrist that won't even let you speak? My suggestion? Avoid this place like the plague!!!

I recommend Dr. Jaffery any chance I get! I have seen endless Dr's these last 11yrs. ALL of them had me in and out in 15mins or less. They were not at all interested in me, just check marks. After so many years of this I was no longer surprised when these doctors didn't even look up at me during our 5-10 mins.! Normal, right?! I thought so until Dr. J! Dr. Jaffery is the BEST psychiatrist I have ever seen! He cares about my overall life & well-being. Not just meds. Book an appt & you'll see!

Worst experience I've ever had in seeking help. He took a late patient in front of me when I arrived on time for my appointment. When he called on me for my late start, no apology or explanation as to why I had to wait. He quickly ushered me out after only 30 minutes on my first visit. He comes off as very judgmental and seems disinterested. He has very poor listening skills as well. At one point, he seemed to be falling asleep while I was talking. Do not waste your time.

Would NOT recommend! Never gave me enough time to discuss key issues and seemed to brush them off if I did. Don't waste your time here.

He was so judgmental and condescending I couldn't believe he was a doctor! I explained I had taken klonopin for sleep many years & eventually went to rehab to quit safely. He told me it was my fault that it got that far and that I'm brain damaged. I explained my new regimen for sleep & that I changed insurance & was out of refills. He demanded to get a release & see my previous Dr.'s notes prior to filling my scripts. Then he made an error on 4 OUT OF 4 SCRIPTS. And of course no refills!

The worst experience I have ever had in seeking treatment or help. Late start, very awkward introduction, extremely sterile in approach, distracted by other things going on during the visit, facial expressions to things I was sharing comunicated judgement (he even rolled his eyes at one point). I was very upfront and with hIm about my history and need for help. At one point it was like someone flipped a switch and he ushered my wife who was in the room with me, and I out the door.
