Dr. Sam Cohlmia, MD

I was disappointed at the lack of personal attention, up to date equipment and the response I received when I had an issue with the prescription. I recently moved here and have always gone to opthomologist after losing one eye in a car accident. It had been at leat a decade since I was given eye drops to dialate my eye. His office doesn't have the equipment needed to avoid dilation. I have transition lenses, I was given the standard eye exam but not the reading one. When I called to see if it was accidentally missed, I was told they don't do that. I told him my glasses didn't work for reading, yet all he gave me was the same prescription of my current glasses. It was frustrating to pay for an opthomologist when he didnt even do what an optometrists does.

The office staff do an excellent job of keeping everything organized and on time. The office is always super clean and neat. I have been a patient for about twenty years and have been seen anywhere from once to twice yearly. Can’t ever recall being seen late. Dr. Cohlmia is always pleasant, knowledgeable, and always takes time to answer my questions. I feel very confident that I am getting the best care.

Staff is not friendly and the way one woman was speaking on the phone to someone was not appropriate. Doctor was very rushed and curt, not a good feeling from him.

I was told by my eye dr that what was going on was urgent and could lead to blindness and that he wanted me to come see this Dr. I explained what was going on to nurses fully and they said I should come in. After waiting for the dr he came in for 5 minutes with me. He acted like I shouldn’t have come in, that I had it all handled. He showed no empathy or care for my concerns. When he tried to test my eye pressure he gave no instruction other than “look ahead” and very quickly became annoyed because I blinked and said he wasn’t going to do it and to tell my eye dr to test me. I told him I wanted him to because my dad has severe glaucoma and I have been told to be monitored & asked if he could try one more time. He said no he wasn’t doing it and to make my dr do it. So essentially uncaring in making his patients feel confident with his care. He also didn’t do a full exam, it was 5 minutes, he had me read 2 lines, looked at my eyes with a light, and then tried once to test pressure.

Great surgery result. Very caring office staff. Outstanding doctor, who listens, cares, explains and answers all questions. The doctor and his staff are very attentive, compassionate, knowledgeable, and comforting to work with.

Dr Cohimia, Has done surgery and lazer to get my eye pressure down. It was 39 and now 15. I would highly recommend him.

2 successful cataract removal with new lens for astigmatism in 6 years. Dr Sam is my hero and has changed my life. World Class Surgeon And Opthomologist. He’s My Rock Star ??! Dr. Cohlmia performed surgery on my eyes. The entire procedure and experience were great, and I felt at ease throughout the process. He gave me very good vision after my cataract surgeries. He is an excellent and caring doctor.

The office staff was very professional and helpful. Dr. Cohlmia was highly professional, compassionate, patient, and spent a sufficient amount of time examining me and explaining to me my condition.

The office staff was very kind. I had a long wait time, but the office has a pleasant atmosphere so I didn't mind. However, when Dr. Cohlmia came to do my assessment he took very little time to check my eyes and stopped midway through. My appointment lasted about 7 minutes. I don't know if it was a bad day, but I was very disappointed with the level of care he offered.

This was my first eye exam in years (decades actually). Dr. Cohlmia's admin staff got me into an exam room right at my appointment time (when does that ever happen?!) and Dr. Cohlmia was there within a minute. He was friendly and the exam was quick. Overall a great experience for a medical appointment. I definitely recommend him.

The staff is very nice and care about every one. They also try to help with any problems.
