1st time with Dr and amazed with how nice and personable he is. I've had over 5 rheumatologist and he is by far hands down the best. He drew fluid off my knee to get tested (why none of the others did??) He also drew @7 vials of blood so he can see what's showing up. I had a prior Dr stick me and hurt me but Dr Sam is gentle and he definitely does not rush you through. His staff are wonderful (Tory who took my call, Tiffanee drawing blood was sweet and caring/ nice conversation that made me feel like they love their job and helping patients. Tiffany who checks you out is also 100% on customer service. I am so glad I switched rheumatologist because I hit the jack pot on finding someone/ people who want to see you get better and live longer!!

Unhelpful
He could have written a prescription for a medication commonly prescribed off-label by rheumatologists for my condition, but he did not want to. He also did not reply to a question in the patient portal regarding test results. After two weeks, I gave up expecting a reply. It certainly seemed like Dr. Serafi was not interested in working with me. I'm feeling the same way about him.

Excellent doctor!
Dr. Serafi is one of the nicest, smartest doctors I have ever seen. He was able to diagnose a rare autoimmune condition when no one else could. I highly recommend him!

Worst doctor i’ve ever had
I have never felt more invalidated by a doctor in my life. He talked over me and didn’t listen to the symptoms i was listing or made them sound unimportant. He was incredibly dismissive and made me feel like i was lying about my condition. I will definitely be seeing a different doctor after this.

Dr. Serafi is amazing. I have suffered with severe pain and fatigue for over 6 years. It's been years of testing, poking, prodding, various medications and diagnosis'. Dr. Serafi took time to talk to me about my medical history, ask questions about what may have seemed to be unrelated symptoms and work with me on treatment plans. After 6 years of pain and fatigue, I am finally getting relief and living an active life with my family! Dr. Serafi diagnosed me with fibromyalgia, and has worked with me to get the best medication fit and help me refine my diet and exercise plans to ease my symptoms. Thank you Dr. Serafi for helping me feel great again!
