I labored for 30 hours and kept getting sent away (per the nurses it was Dr. Patels decision) even though I was consistently dilating and contracting each time they checked. He did everything in his power to prolong the process and not allow me to be admitted until I was 5 cm dilated and by then after hours of being in and out of triage laying down not allowed to move, the baby?s position changed and this led to a preventable c section. A traumatic birthing experience that could have been prevented. Then during the follow up he spoke as if he did the c section when in reality it was a different dr.

Very kind and non judgmental Dr.
I am around 26 weeks pregnant and so grateful for Dr. Patel and the front desk staff (like Joanne) they have been wonderful since I met them and make scheduling my appointment a breeze! Dr. Patel is very kind and seems to be extremely understanding as well. He listens well and makes me feel respected and very happy I get to go on this journey with his guidance and care. I appreciate St. Francis's team very much and would highly recommend Dr. Patel.

Met Dr. Patel bedside during a recent birth at St. Mary’s in which the baby arrived extremely quickly. The staff grabbed him and he covered catching my clients baby last minute. I was in the hall and had just arrived when I heard a baby crying. My client’s husband had been sent downstairs to registration. I walked in to Dr. Patel’s smiling face, a happy, healthy mom and baby. The staff was a little shaken, but we appreciate Dr. Patel catching in the absence of my clients midwife, who was also on her way and arrived shortly thereafter. YourBirthHelper & Team, commends Dr. P for being such a happy last minute team player! Cheers for another low intervention natural birth! The #CharlotteDoulaDreamTeam appreciates your cheerful bedside manner! Hurray for another happy “BIRTH” day even the very unexpected untimely ones!
