8 years ago I had an upper and lower jaw surgery with Dr. Bobek. I love my results!

Sleep Apnea surgery unsuccessful
I had surgery to correct sleep apnea several years ago with Dr. Bobek and it was unsuccessful in improving my sleep apnea. The DISE procedure available through Bellevue ENT could have predicted the unsuccessful outcome. Now, my nose and face look much worse and I am very unhappy with my appearance. Anyone considering sleep apnea surgery should get the DISE procedure first to locate where the problem area is that is causing sleep apnea. Sleep tests don't identify the area.

His staff is abysmal
I simply can't understand why a provider who seems to get high ratings for his surgical skills surrounds himself with the level of incompetence that makes or breaks the patient experience. It doesn't matter if you call or email, there is ZERO response. It blows my mind that this is tolerated and after reading reviews it has been going on for years. It lowers my respect for a surgeon that my own dentist referred me to. I have let them know what my experience has been and encouraged him to NEVER refer another person to this office. Sloppy, unprofessional and creates distress for patients needing care.

Achieved a surgical cure for apnea
Dr. Bobek operated me for a medium severity sleep apnea. He performed MMA and genioglossus advancement procedures. 6 months after surgery, my apnea is gone. Completely. He achieved a surgical cure. The surgery itself was pretty uneventful, and recovery was quick and smooth. On a personal note, Dr. Bobek was pleasant to work with. He listened to my concerns, as a patient, and incorporated those into a surgery plan.

This clinic never replies to emails, returns calls, or gets back to you even after speaking to three different people, receptionists and a manager over the phone about the next steps the doctor wanted to take. Even though the last one/manager "promised" she would get back to me by the end of the day, she never did. I needed to have a second consultation with the doctor but that never ended up happening as their communication is so poor, with such a lack of professionalism, I don't know how they are still a working clinic? A total money and time waste. Just do yourself a favor and stay away. And after reading more of these reviews from others, my heart goes out to you all. Im so happy I did not choose them!

The last email I got from the patient coordinator Shannon Fox was on Sept19. She said will email back to me in one week with details. I have sent her at least 15 emails if not more, and called at least 7 times. There is no single response of email or phone call by her! it will be my second surgery by dr.Bobek. My last surgery with dr.Bobek did correct my underbite but it did not correct my cant. My jaw was still asymmetric. The surgery did not work as per his plan. I was devasted by it and after going through the depression I decided to take the leap and correct it properly. It is pure mental torture. A patient comes to the doctor at their very vulnerable state in life for help. Not to mention the professional standard but at least could be treated as a human being.

It’s been several years since my procedure and to this day I still feel quite conflicted about the outcome of my surgeries. I had a underbite and was scheduled to have upper and lower jaw surgery. Later during the preop appt genioplasty was added to the plan. I did my research and asked lots of questions about potential risks, face changes et, so I felt prepared. After surgery my underbite was fixed, but I noticed the step off on my jawline from genioplasty. I didn’t know it a possible outcome and it was seriously debilitating to my mental health for the longest time and still is. I wished I was better informed about postop changes like step off, tightness, pain etc Office: -long wait/delayed appt -my parents and I spent 90% of the time w staff and maybe 10-15 min w Dr. Bobek each visit -PA was a friendly blonde lady n made me feel comfortable -very knowledgeable about aftercare -scheduling was wack, changed my surgery date and time twice, seems like Swedish or Dr was overbooked

Terrible office staff, calls not returned on multiple occasions. If he can't run the front office properly, I can only imagine what goes on in back

Our impression of Dr Bobek is tainted by an extraordinary lack of communication and follow through on the part of his staff. A physician who cares about his patients also prioritizes the patient experience in every aspect of their care. Our daughter was scheduled for surgery for over a month. After multiple calls to confirm details our messages went unreturned. One day prior to surgery I proactively called my ins co only to learn there was no attempt to request pre Auth. No call to CXL either.

Excellent experience! After getting the run around from other doctors, Dr. Bobek took the time to explain my condition and the treatment for it in detail. He was very patient and answered all of my (numerous and possibly dumb) questions. Although I am nervous for my surgery, I now know what to expect and am looking forward to the end result!

Dr. Bobek made me feel very comfortable and at ease. He is very down to earth and treats his patients like friends/family. I was very impressed with his level of knowledge as well as the time he took to explain everything detail as well as answer my quesions. Best oral surgeon in the Pacific Northwest! :-)

I had lower jaw surgery and Dr Bobek was great! From the beginning of the process he was straightforward, knowledgeable and was personable. I felt very confident in his ability to perform the surgery before and after in an very happy with the outcome. I would recommend him to anyone needing specialty in his field.
