Dr. Johnson is easy to reach & his staff is friendly & helpful. He frequently comes to the phone himself if he’s available. Visits are available the same day or the next. Waiting in the office is minimal. Dr. Johnson gives you his full attention & his diagnoses & suggestions are pertinent & helpful. Prescriptions are filled promptly, even pre-authorizations are done amazingly quickly. Because his attention is so thorough by phone & because he remembers us, it isn’t necessary to run in for every minor issue. Nonetheless, my last visit was completed with minimal waiting (either for the appointment or in the office) and I received Dr. Johnson’s full attention; no outside phone calls, no interruptions. My issue was addressed fully and he willingly discussed another matter that was concerning me. We are exceedingly pleased with the care we receive from Dr. Johnson & recommend his practice highly.

IF you've NEVER seen Dr Johnsen as a patient how can you comment? Dr Johnsen is very caring and loves what he does. He is funny and very likeable. It's obvious he likes what he does and I hear nothing but wonderful things.

Terrible doctor. Refused to see me when my GP doc of 10+ yrs referred me to him as my new PCP. He is accepting new patients. Wouldn’t provide any reason for the refusal. Front desk person extremely argumentative and actually hung up on me on phone. Avoid this discriminating place like the plague!

Best doctor on the west side and beyond.

Dr. Johnsen is one of the best doctors around. I have had an unusual disease for a long time and he was always there for me. Take it from someone who is sick - he will help you. He is also capable of making the right diagnosis, which is rare on Maui. He is also a nice guy, who genuinely cares. You can not go wrong with him in this one horse town.
