Excellent Doctor
After being referred by my friends and one doctor, I went to Dr. Mickelson for sleep apnea, allergies and reoccurring sinus infections. That was a year ago and I think he's great. Dr. Mickelson's office staff and nurses are always very busy, very helpful and very pleasant. (No one has ever been rude to me!) Dr. Mickelson always takes time to explain how my body (and my CPAP machine) work together, what my reports mean, and how I can maximize my breathing and sleep, with and without medicine. He is thorough, but doesn't push pills, medical devices, or surgery. If I listen, and follow his advise, I feel better...which is why I go to the doctor. To sum, this is a very busy practice, with top notch doctors, nurses and staff. If you want to get well, go see them.

The best doctor I have ever seen !!!
I had a lot of questions and he was a very good listener. He took the time to answer all of my questions and give me all of the treatment options. I have since moved away but I will never forget him and what he did for my quality of life !

Walked out of Office
The Worse of the Worst. After 2.5 hrs waiting the Dr never showed up. Staff were nasty with me when I advised my time is valuable as well and I was going to leave if the Dr couldn't keep his appointments. I understand if emergencies arise, but that wasn't the case and the staff appeared very angry and inconvenienced when questioned. As a patient we deserve as much respect as any one, and to be addressed in a manor that we should be greatful we are there at all is wrong. Find a qualified Dr who actually cares because this isn't the place. I found a new ENT almost immediately and the experoience and caring was night and day

I had a fever and I had called the office to cancel my appointment because of COVID. Now they sent me a bill for 375$ and said they don't have a message when I called. When clearly my call records show I have called the office for appointment cancellation. I have also called the office regarding the bill they sent and left a voice mail and never got a call back from the front desk. This is not my only bad experience I even found the doctor rude to me, I will need to find a new ENT for my healthcare needs.

Maybe this doctor is very good for some people, but for me he was a complete failure: arrogant and rude he misunderstood what was going on in my nose. As he sent me to another specialist, because he said the issue didn't depend on an ENT doctor, I fortunately did. The new surgeon said I didn't need any operation. I think Dr. Mickelson should change work and learn good manners.

I trust Dr. Mickelson’s approach and expertise He has diagnosed and is treating me for severe sleep apnea. Performed UPPP surgery after I could not adjust to using a BiPap. 2 months post procedure, I can say my quality of life has changed. I have not felt this good in decades. I highly recommend him!

Dr. Mickelson is one of the very best Drs. we have ever seen. My husband had a very serious condition that was life threatening. Dr. Mickelson never gave up advising or searching for something to help him, and to his credit he did help him. I would highly recommend him to anyone suffering from sleep apnea.

To some, Dr. Samuel Michelson may be a world class ENT Specialist. To me, he was extremely rude, arrogant, unprofessional, non communicative and untrustworthy. Michelson aggressively marketed medical supplies that were overpriced, and surgical procedures without throughly explaining the benefits and risks of the procedures. His office staff was equally rude, unfriendly and unprofessional. If I had to work for Michelson, I might be too. I cancelled my surgical procedure far in advance of the time frame required by Michelson and his staff attempted to collect an excessive cancellation anyway. Bear in mind, that I ultimately decided to cancel because of Michelson's high pressure tactics and his staff's unwillingness to fully disclose the costs of the procedure. Dr. Michelson is long past his expiration date and cc should have retired years ago. Stay away from Dr. Michelson!!!

Dr. Mickelson helped both my husband and me with sleep apnea, and also allergies for me. My quality of life has improved dramatically. As others have mentioned, he is very direct but also very knowledgeable. And yes, we experienced a lot of expenses. I questioned the potential conflict of interest with part ownership of the sleep labs as well as the many recommended products and procedures. But overall, my sleep is much better and I am experiencing almost zero reactions to pollen. So I consider the expenses as a big investment in my health.

Dr. Mickelson was digging into my pockets the second I walked in. He did an endoscopy for my sinuses, and within minutes he said he knew what my problem was (recirculation of the sinuses). He then immediately got down to numbers and what insurance would cover with regards to surgery. He then tried to pitch me sublingual allergy medication, for which there is conflicting evidence of efficacy. Two other ENTs said that I did not need surgery and there was no 'recirculation' issue. Do not see him

Exceptionally adept. Because he took such great care in my nasal surgery my recovery was fairly easy (compared to the horror stories I heard from other people.) It made such a difference in my ability to get a good night's sleep too. He's an expert, and that's the only type of person I want doing any surgery on my face. Very professional and nice too.
