Very Successful Surgery!!!
Dr. Steiner performed surgery on my left shoulder just less than four months ago. I unknowingly tore my bicep and my subscapularis muscle of the rotator cuff off the bones of my left arm and shoulder more than two years before the surgery. I had very limited mobility and significant pain. I finally sought help, and met Dr. Steiner.I had never had any type of surgery, but Dr. Steiner made me very comfortable throughout the entire process. 8-10 weeks in a sling and sleeping in a chair wasn't much fun, but after listening to Dr. Steiner's post-op instructions, and attending physical therapy... my arm and shoulder feel better than they have in years.Today I have more motion in my left arm than I have had in likely the last 20 years, and I am getting stronger every day!I had not been able to play catch (baseball and football) with my youngest son in over two years. My goal was to do that again before he leaves for college this fall. I feel great! Let's go throw! Thanks Dr. Steiner!!!!!

Excellent care and great outcome
After an expert evaluation of my rotator cuff injuries, Dr. Steiner performed a flawless surgery. 16 weeks out, with the prescribed PT, my progress is excellent. The surgery experience was caring, professional, and quick. Same for the follow up visits, supported by his talented staff.

No need to go any further
Dr Steiner took the time to discuss the injury and surgery with me. He never made me feel rushed. The surgery went great, and I never had to take any pain pills. Highly recommend using Dr Steiner if you need a knee meniscus repair.

Attentive and Informative with a Smile
Dr. Steiner and his team were the penultimate professionals. At each appointment, I was met with a smile and a clear explanation of progress and prognosis. In addition, each member of the team came with a positive and uplifting demeanor that left me encouraged. The recovery process was a journey, but was happy I had Dr. Steiner and his team to guide me through it.

Caring and Thorough
Dr. Steiner is a very caring doctor and he explains things incredibly well. He wants you to fully understand what is going on and he will do his best to explain it in laymen’s terms. He is an upbeat person and that makes hearing bad news way easier. I am so glad that he was my doctor and if I ever need any orthopedic help in the future I will be requesting Dr. Steiner!

Excellent Treatment, Excellent Outcome
Dr. Steiner performed my husband's shoulder replacement surgery several years ago with great results, so I didn't think twice about having Dr. Steiner do the surgery to repair my rotator cuff and other things. Dr. Steiner was very thorough from the start about my options, potential outcomes and recovery. The surgery was uneventful and relatively pain free. While I have worked very hard over the last three and a half months on my recovery and rehab, I believe Dr. Steiner's expert surgery and advice made this all possible. I am an avid golfer and I fully expect to have my full swing back in another six weeks. Compared to a previous rotator cuff repair done 12 years ago by a different surgeon, Dr. Steiner's work is light years ahead of the other surgeon and my recovery has taken half the time.

Excellent care for rotator cuff repair!
Dr. Steiner performed rotator cuff repair and biceps tenodesis on my left shoulder last December at the Orthopaedic Associates of Wisconsin facility in Pewaukee. I am very pleased with the excellent care I received from Dr Steiner, his physican's assistant Julie Skrypchak PA-C, and the therapy team at Orthopaedic Associates of Wisconsin therapy. Dr. Steiner explained the procedure as well as expected outcomes and recovery times, and answered all my questions. He and Julie were very encouraging during my initial and follow-up visits and clearly explained the process and expectations for rehabbing my shoulder. It's been about 3.5 months from my surgery and everything is going well. I am also extremely pleased with the great physical therapy group, especially Jen and Britni. Thank you all so much for the excellent care and support!

Dr. Steiner review
First off Dr. Steiner is an amazing doctor. From the beginning with my initial X-rays and other imaging I had done he explained every minute detail no matter how many questions were asked. Very knowledgeable, shows empathy and an all around great guy. Secondly, the PA-C that works with him (Julie) is also amazing. I felt very comfortable working with these two and they make a great team, thank you guys!

Great Experience and Result
Dr. Steiner was very thorough during my initial appointment and related diagnosis. He described all of the details of my shoulder repair, including different procedures he'd take during the surgery. I was well prepared, and I had a great outcome as a result. I have complete confidence and would trust him with another joint repair should I need that. Furthermore, his PA, Julie Skrypchak, was equally impressive throughout the process. I chose to do post-surgery PT at OA of WI. It was an all-around great experience led by Dr. Steiner and his positive energy approach.

Beyond arthroscopic shoulder surgery
I was referred to Dr. Sam Steiner after I retore my rotator cuff following arthroscopic surgery. I was no longer a candidate for a repair, it now would be a revision. Dr. Steiner recommended a “lower trap transfer”, which actually takes the lower trapezius muscle and pulls it up to the shoulder, where a cadaver tendon is grafted. The result is a “reinforced” rotator cuff. The surgery went well, and now I am a year out. While I’ll never regain full strength and mobility, I can do the things I love—swimming, running, and biking. I have few limitations in my daily life, and consider the operation successful! Doctor Steiner is a super positive physician, took care telling me all the surgery entailed, and answered any questions. I would highly recommend him to anyone needing a shoulder repair.

Dr. Steiner is extremely responsive, truly caring and explains things for the everyday person to understand. He went above and beyond to check every single aspect of my shoulder (not just the injured part) and fixed everything that didn’t show on the MRI. He is also very motivating during the recovery process and genuinely wants to see you succeed. Dr. Steiner is the best ortho surgeon and I’m so blessed he did my surgery!

Dr. Steiner is an exceptional Orthopaedic Surgeon! I went to him for a torn ACL injury on my right knee. My care was top-notch from the start, from discussing and understanding my injury to determining the best way to repair the ACL. Dr Steiner is extremely knowledgeable, informative and made certain I understood the injury thoroughly and reviewed the MRI photos with his explanation. I felt very confident with his abilities and experience! The surgery itself was beautifully done and recovery was what I expected with no surprises. Follow up appointments with Dr. Steiner were positive and encouraging and he made sure I was engaged in Post Physical Therapy and improving every appointment. I thank Dr. Steiner and his whole staff for the excellent care and support provided. I could not have asked for a better experience and highly recommend Dr Steiner!

My experience with Dr. Steiner was awesome! I was experiencing high levels of pain in my shoulder. Dr. Steiner happened to be the earliest appointment I could get, so I went with him. From my first visit with Dr. Steiner he made me feel comfortable and confident that my shoulder could be fixed. After x-rays and his analysis of my situation his explanation and recommendations made me even more confident not only in having the replacement, but also in him as my surgeon. The shoulder replacement went great. The recover went so well he had to remind me the importance of wearing my sling to allow for the shoulder to heal. I am so impress with the strength and range of motion I have. Because of Dr. Steiner's excellent work I'm back to playing softball and golf several days a week. I could not be happier with the results of his work! Thanks so much Dr. Steiner!
