The care of the doctor and staff was excellent. With the replacement I had almost no pain. My range of motion and stability is better than it’s been for decades. I highly recommend Dr. Thompson and Columbia Orthopedic Group.

Dr. Thompson explained my procedure to me in a clear, straightforward manner. My surgery went very well, his staff was very competent and post-surgery were available to answer questions when necessary. The surgery clinic at Columbia Orthopaedic is very well run. I would have perhaps liked a post-surgery appointment a little sooner than occurred but otherwise was completely satisfied with my experience. The Force Therapeutics on-line app was very useful and informative before my surgery since I was not regularly seeing my physical therapist. I used it less after surgery when I was seeing my therapist two or more times a week and got my exercises from that source. I highly recommend Dr. Thompson.

Dr. Thompson and his staff were caring, professional and responsive in every interaction I had with them. My knee replacement surgery was scheduled within a month, and now, nine weeks out I have had an excellent result and am back to all my normal activities. All of his staff are knowledgeable and helpful, going out of their way to make the (admittedly very painful) process as stress-free as possible. I don't think I will need any further replacement surgeries, but Dr. Thompson and the Columbia Orthopedic Group and Surgical Center would be the only place I would choose. I recommend them unequivocally.

From my first appointment Dr. Thompson was extremely professional and explained my Osteoarthritis. After trying injection with no luck, surgery was scheduled. Dr. Thompson and Brianna both spoke to me day of surgery. My surgery went well, and my recovery was remarkable. I'm doing things now ( 2 months after surgery ), that I've not been able to do in 10 years. I'm actually able to do most exercises now, even squats... From appointments, to treatments to possibly avoid surgery, to the care I received once the replacement was determined to be needed I was totally confident in the care I was receiving. Dr. Thompson explained the different options for me including non surgical, but after discussing my history with knee pain, I decided the best option fir me was surgery. I asked for mire information on partial replacement and that’s what I determined was the best option for me.The day of the surgery, Dr. Thompson and the entire staff was respectful and put me as ease as well as post op staff. On my first office visit, Dr. Thompson clearly explained what he was going to do, recovery time, and questions that I had. On my surgery day, Dr. Thompson did an anterior hip replacement! I was able to go home the same day as my surgery. I had pain the first few days but after that any pain was relieved by OTC pain relievers. Only needed a walker for a few days then nothing after that. Dr. Thompson called twice to check on me. He & his staff were wonderful! I am back playing tennis again after 11 weeks. I did do the pre-surgery exercises and the post surgery exercises religiously! I highly recommend Dr. Thompson and his Staff! If I had to have my other hip replaced, I would definitely have Dr. Thompson do the surgery!

I came to Dr. Thompson after 2 surgeries due to staph infection in my knee. Barely walking and in constant pain. He worked with me for over a year before surgery to safely replace the joint.
