Dr. Samuel Tochtrop, DO

Dr. Tochtrop has been an amazing physician and his attentiveness is incredible. He makes sure to take time to understand his patients and works with them to address any concerns. I look forward to my appointments knowing that he will listen and actively affirm and enable me.

Without therapy, with only a 30 minute appointment, gave a young man estrogen and other 'feminizing' medications.This will change a young MAN's life, possibly destroy it. I repeat, on the very first appointment he gave a patient drugs.There was no regard given to the patient or his mental health. This is shameful and part of the problem with our world today.

Dr Sam Tochtrop is the nicest, most caring, empathetic medical professional I have seen. He sits and takes time. He listens and has the best advice. I’ve never felt so much trust in a doctor in my life.

I recently saw Dr. Sam for the first time as I needed a new PCP. I have several chronic illnesses and brought a multi-page list with me outlining all my symptoms and conditions, both diagnosed and undiagnosed. To my surprise, he said he wanted to sit with this information for a bit so he could thoroughly understand it before making any diagnoses or recommendations. Most doctors I've seen would rather pass you off to a specialist, but he seemed truly interested in helping me understand what's going on. He also didn't explain my physical symptoms away just because I have mental health diagnoses as well. I appreciate his holistic approach so much, and feel like I have an advocate on my side.
