Dr. Sandeep Gill
Dr. Gill is always very friendly, greeting the patient amicably as soon as he enters the exam room. He listens carefully to what the patient has to say or how the patient feels. He makes the patient feel comfortable and assured that he knows his business.

He Didn't Know Why I Was There-Neither Did I
Neurologist referred me to his office. They forgot to send me the intake paperwork so I had to spend half an hour (or longer) filling it out first. Once I got into the office with the doctor, he began looking over my medical history (for what from what I could only assume was the first time). He pulled out his phone and spent half of my actual appointment texting without acknowledging it. He was asking me further questions about my medical history while looking at his phone. At one point I asked a clarifying question about a name (I needed a date for that name) and he was too busy texting to answer me so I could provide his answer. I don't think he cared. He looked at me towards the end of the appointment and said 'I don't know why you're here' like I would know. He had me do a blood test anyway and they tried to schedule a follow-up appointment, which I canceled.

Unacceptable
I had an after hours problem and called to find out. Dr. Gill was on-call and not my regular Doctor who is wonderful. Dr. Gill refused to take my phone call and simply sent a message through the operator. This is unacceptable!

Insensitive. No communication skills, it is all one way. Staff doesn't always cancel appointments, then get upset when you complain about making unnecessary trips. His PA and her assistant are just great. He could learn from her.

You have to be patient with this wonderful doctor
Dr. Gill is an excellent hematology doctor who took over care of my disorder after the retirement of my previous hematologist. Dr. Gill shows concern for aspects of your hematology disorder that you didn't know were there. However, he has a tendency to talk very very fast, a tendency to mumble. Sometimes he does not allow me as the patient [who knows my own body and knows my medical history intimately] to speak my concerns or my own medical experiences.

Dr Gill is a top of the line oncologist. He knowledge and expertise has kept me alive for 14 years under his care. On the other side of Texas Oncology, your scheduling department needs a great deal of help with contacting patients when there is a schedule change. They will change an appointment and not contact the patient. As a result I arrive for an appointment to find out that the appointment has been changed to another day. Please correct this issue with your scheduling department.

Outstanding and Compassionate
I was referred to Dr Gill 12 years ago, after being diagnosed with Carcinoid Cancer. Not knowing what to expect or what I was going to hear, was frightening. Dr Gill was very patient and talked to me not only as a patient but a person that needed to understand what was happening to me. He spoke in a way that I could understand, if he saw confusion on my face he would stop and take the time , to even draw something on the board to help me. Dr Gill is very passionate about his work and compassionate with his patients. He will always let me know if there is something new for my cancer, but always keeps my physical health as part of his decisions. There is never a time when I have a concern or question that Dr Gill is not available. I continue to depend on Dr Gill with confidence for wherever this journey continues to take me.

ABSOLUTELY THE BEST!
I was diagnosed with HHT as a child, but I was able to live a normal life until I turned 40. Then I began losing more blood than my body could replace on its own. I had been to several doctors over the years, but none were knowledgeable about HHT. Their stock answer for me was to take OTC iron pills to bring up the iron levels in my blood. However when I hit middle age and basically bled out half the blood in my body (HGb was 6.5) it finally got my family doctor’s attention, and I was referred to Dr Gill. When I told him I had HHT he said he was familiar with the disorder but admitted to not knowing very much about it. That was 20 years ago. Since then he has combed the internet and all the top medical journals to learn everything he can about HHT. He thinks outside the box. He has literally saved my life more than once. He has a genuine interest in his patients. He is a very spiritual, caring, compassionate person. I have nothing but the utmost respect for Dr Gill.
