Insensitive to patients need.
He didn't do the surgery on me, but I chose to go to him because I had my surgery done out of state and the surgeon had created complications for me, so I didn't want to continue with him. Even though he didn't do the surgery on me he should know about different ostomates different needs, but he was very insensitive to my need. I was there to get ADA for my work beside my discussion to fix the complication I have, and he said upright his patients play tennis and have normal life. He told me that I shouldn't tell him what to write for my ADA. I suggest he signs up for the support group for ostomates (maybe as a continued education) to see how different everyone is and actually the only one who knows what to write on the ADA form is the ostomate herself. Not two ostomates are the same. Some ostomates have never a leak from their bag but others have daily leaks and others like me have occasional leaks. Some people can make a change in a public bathroom, but I can barely do it at home.

Risking your life with Binderow
Father had history of crohns disease which required colon resection. Undetermined complication after surgery. Binderow called in every specialist to evaluate. All said no problems in their area of expertise. Only because dad's gastro doc intervened & insisted binderow perform 2nd surgery, did Dr B agree. My dad had sepsis by this time, had to be cardio resuscitated twice. Binderow repaired a leaking intestine as result of 1st surgery. This is a common complication from colon surgery but Dr B chose protection of his professional name over the life of my father. Thankfully, my father lived. Weeks of a nightmare. Binderow never expressed concern over my dad. Doc is arrogant.

Just don’t see him … please !!!!!
I had a grade IV prolapsed hemorrhoid. I dropped my pants in his office. He gave me a numbing injection and performed the “surgery” in less than 5 minutes. He then sent me on my way saying I’d recover in 10-14 days. When I didn’t recover he claimed I had an anal fistula and performed a second five minute “surgery” in his office. Five months later I’m wearing a pain patch and taking a batch of prescription pain medication just to have some level normalcy. I’m scheduled next week for my first nerve block injection. The pain management doctor and my neurologist both say I have nerve damage caused by a sloppy surgery. Please do yourself a favor and see a qualified surgeon.

Grateful for such an excellent surgeon.
I have a difficult case of Crohn's Disease that's very aggressive and have had three different surgeons operate on me. Dr. Binderow is the only one that I have not had complications with after surgery. He is compassionate, thorough, and very skilled. I fully trust him and think anyone looking for a this type of surgeon could not make a better choice.

Sigmoidectomy Procedure
Dr. Binderow was my surgeon 15 years ago for a diverticulosis diagnosis and subsequent sigmoidectomy. I suffered from lower abdomenal pain for months and finally, the MRI detected the disease. I did my homework and chose St. Joseph's and Dr. Binderow to perform the surgery. Atlanta Colorectal Surgery and its Staff were outstanding. He is a busy surgeon and perhaps patients scheduled for routine colonoscopies don't feel he spends enough time with them; however, he is an excellent surgeon and I have referred friends and colleagues to him because of his medical talent & skill.

Dr. Binderow has been my surgeon for over 25 years and I trust nobody more than I do him!! He’s the only one that I trust with my surgeries because I often have many herniations and he’s the only one that will do surgery on me because I have bad scar tissue which makes surgery difficult. I love Dr. Binderow and his whole staff!! Thanks I highly recommend him!!!!

I went to Dr. Binderow in Feb 2019 with what I'd determined was either an internal hemorrhoid or rectal prolapse. He diagnosed me with the former and performed a hemorrhoidectomy shortly after. Post surgery, I kept experiencing the same problem, would go back to him, and he would dismiss it and have me take more laxatives. Finally I took a picture and showed him and it turned out I was right from the beginning – I had a rectal prolapse. Eventually I went to a different doctor to have the surgery performed, but Dr. Binderow wanted to do the perineal approach (which didn't make sense for someone my age). I've talked to multiple medical professionals and shared my experience, and they all did not have positive things to say about him.

Dr Binderow is awesome. I know he’s to the point and there can be a wait, but that’s because he takes in everyone who needs help. Each time I call I’m told there is a wait but when I explain the pain I’m in, he always fits me in. I have had three surgical procedures without any complications. And his staff is excellent with responding to questions you have.

My name is Robin Mancini. It was the worse Colonoscopy of my life. I have PTSD from sexual abuse as a child. The medicine did not work. He didn’t care. He basically anally raped me again. Darling nurse, Mary, gave me her phone number. Regret I did not sue, but was too frightened. Do NOT SEE HIM. Have had a ton of Colonoscopy and Endoscopy. Bottom of the barrel.

I had a colon resection at Dr. Binderow's recommendation after a routine colonoscopy. I was asked in his office to sign papers agreeing within two hours after anesthesia to have a benign polyp removed, I developed an infection which lasted for weeks and was finally treated by another doctor after my follow up with Dr. Binderow. The scar had to be repaired and within three months after surgery I developed a large hernia which required more surgery.

Dr Binderow is one of the best doctors I’ve ever had. I was fortunate enough to have an urgent appointment with him to examine an extremely painful large thrombosed internal hemorrhoid OMG. He was efficient, to the point, explained the options and was empathetic enough to schedule me that very day for a hemorrhoidectomy after his last surgery, even though it was in the evening. He did an amazing job—zero pain starting immediately after surgery and the hospital staff were outstanding.

Dr Binderow is the best ever! He took me in under his wing and took care of me through multiple surgeries! I would highly recommend him. His staff is so kind. All I can say I live in Newnan and it takes me over an hour one way. However when you have that kind of trust in a doctor you stick with him!

Worst bedside manner ever! The lack of advice and guidance for my post-surgery care was astounding. During follow-up visits, he would spend a total of 7 seconds in the patient room and then zip out after only saying a few words. Health care at its WORST!!!

Dr. Binderow performed surgery on my husband a few months ago and had complications after surgery which he chose to ignore. Due to his negligence we sought out another surgeon who had to redo what Dr. Binderow had done previously and said it was a hot mess! My husband was never going to heal, per Binderow "give it time, it will heal". He has the worst bed side manners ever, rude, arrogant, does not listen to his patients. So happy we moved onto a much better surgeon!
