Highly Recommend
Dr Mather has a very caring bed side manner. I have had 2 colonoscopies by him and he is very respectful and professional. I had colonoscopy a few days ago and he is using tablets now instead of the liquid you used to drink. I highly recommend taking the tablets. It was much easier.

My brother had had a stroke and we were in the middle of moving him for the 4th time and the whole day had been a complete nightmare due to the paperwork, or lack of, from the previous faculty. My brother has a feeding tube and I was very concerned about how it was looking and some sharp stomach pains my brother was having. His nurse was able to get us in that day after I explained the situation. When I arrived “the referral” I had been given by the facility we were leaving was not a referral at all. After 3-1/2 months of dealing with my brother’s stroke, I completely broke down in their office. Dr. Mathur’s office immediately jumped in to action making phone calls until we had the authorization we needed and my brother could be seen. Besides his amazing staff, Dr. Mathur’s was so kind and explained everything to us in a way we completely understood and easing my very weary mind that my brother’s feeding tube was fine. Thank you so much for the care and compassion shown to us at an extremely difficult time in our lives.

Originally loved him until he started contradicting himself. We have severe IBS-D. Had been taking Immodium and Lomotil to control. Suddenly he stopped Lomotil. He wouldn't do a colonoscopy he said without a surgeon on standby because we also have an umbilical hernia. Said needed scope used on kids, next visit said no, might turn back. When he stopped Lomotil went back, told found surgeon in Dallas to repair without mesh. Agreed to keep on Lomotil until after. When time for refill waited 5 days for call back. When did his nurse said no to refill. Unbelievable....totally How can you trust any doctor that changes what he says every visit. Time to find a new GI doctor.

Dr. Mathur is absolutely one of the most impressive doctors my husband and I have encountered in 45 years of our marriage. He is very knowledgeable, and his bedside manner is impeccable. Jack was admitted via the ER on January 10, 2019, and Dr. Mathur was there the very next day to perform an endoscopy that revealed stomach cancer. It has been seven months now, and Dr. Mathur has been there for us. He is, indeed, a very special doctor!

We were on vacation and my husband had an incident that put him at Abilene Regional. Dr. Mathur did a procedure on him that saved his life. We are very impressed with him and his abilities. We were concerned at one point and he came and explained things to us which calmed us. When you understand and know what to expect it makes all the difference. We are very impressed with Dr. Mathur.
