Visit with Dr. Sandra Read
I agree with some of the negative comments in the reviews. I was a patient of Dr. Sandra Read for a long time. My impression of her was borderline. She has a cold vibe. My most recent visit confirmed what was my own initial negative perspective of her. During my visit, I felt rushed—less than 15 minutes. She barely gave me the opportunity to address all the concerns that I had. She recommended products for my skin, that included her own 'Brand Products' which are very expensive. When I asked her about a product I currently use, she dismissed me. She was obviously was just interested in pushing her products. Before leaving, I mentioned that my hair was thinning at the front. To my astonishment, without checking my scalp, her response was 'just comb over your hair.' Definitely will not be going back.

She worries only about selling creams. She had the audacity of telling me to stop using the medication prescribed by my internal medicine doctor and instead using one of her potions. Her creams are extremely expensive and not covered by any insurance. The patient doesn't count, making money is the purpose of this "doctor".

Saved my life by catching melanoma at an early stage. Have relied on her for many years and very happy with her work.

Avoid. The Dr. spends zero time with you and hardly examines you. She had the wrong chart and almost attempted to biopsy the wrong site. She makes you come in for multiple office visits that could have been combined for what I can only believe is an attempt to bill for more visits. Her treatment was to prescribe long term use of powerful antibiotics which my new derm was shocked at as its a completely wrong treatment plan and very "old-school". Dr. Read is a superb professional. Her application of nitrogen to eliminate potential skin cancers on my face left only slight traces. This is in stark contrast to the myriad of red blotches other dermatologists' procedures have left. She is precisely on time for her appointments and provides a thorough diagnosis and response to the medical problems presented. She is strongly recommended.
