Great physician. Sadly, Dr. Sandra Smith is supported by an incompetent medical staff. Presbyterian Medical Group seriously needs to take a look into the inadequacy of the employee personal they hire. These staff members constantly drop the ball on prescription refill requests, prior auth. submissions, to no response to emails. It amazes me these type of staff members is in the medical profession. Changed physicians thinking it would resolve the issue. Unfortunately, it didn't. Due to my disability it's difficult to travel outside of Rio Rancho. So, I'm stuck with having to deal with this mess. If you can go somewhere else other than this facility, I recommend you do so because after changing MD's, the following doctor, Dr. Scott dropped the ball and didn't submit my Rx for an antibiotic that was needed right away. I had to call in, complain yet again to have the issue resolved. She hadn't even documented we had agreed to the antibiotic!!

The fair weather Dr. 'I will abandon you' Smith
She lied to me and said she would be there for me.I asked them for ADA paperwork help, and for three months, they made excuses. I got a call for this, and they said I didn't quality for FMLA. I wasn't asking for time off, I was asking for help with my employer understanding my disabilities. They send medications to the wrong pharmacy. The got the lab requisitions wrong. They made mistakes about the medication.Helathgrades made me redo this review.Avoid this woman. She is not qualified, and your health is at risk.

Dr. Smith has been my physician since 2013 and I won’t go to anyone else unless I really have to. She is punctual, courteous, and always takes the time to listen to me. She answers all of my questions to the best of her abilities. Her office does get busy but she shares office space with three other physicians. The ladies at the front desk are always welcoming and checks you in as quickly as possible. If you’re looking for a doctor, this is the doctor you should pick.

Dr. Smith was my doctor. Dr. Smith did not deal well with my high blood pressure. Dr. Smith was also my mom’s doctor. She said my mom had bronchitis. After a few visits and my mom’s cough was worse and she kept losing weight, Dr. Smith still claimed bronchitis. She passed away with Lung Cancer. When I looked up lung cancer symptoms, she had almost every symptom. A doctor should have been able to catch that. I do not recommend this doctor

Love her! She’s the best. I was really upset with my prior review in getting an appt for my mom but after messaging Dr smith herself, we were able to see her the following day.

She is the worst Dr I have had the displeasure of seeing. She is condensing and judgemental and unwilling to work with you if you are on controlled substances. If you have a choice I would highly recommend seeing someone else.
