Vision is the most important thing to me right now, and with my new vision issue in my 40’s I don’t know what I did to be lucky enough to have Dr. Shah take me as a client. He does evidence-based scans for retina, checks thoroughly, answers all of my questions, checks with his colleagues on things, and is skillful with eye injections. He shows me scans and explains things, and I can tell is very honest. Like sometimes with vision “stuff” the causes or the prognosis cannot be known, and he is honest about that. He encourages me to seek extra answers to questions about health or causes, and helps me deal with the anxiety receiving injections. I like he is conservative in some ways (not overdoing unnecessary tests and sticking with a medication that worked for me in the past), but also gives me choices with pros and cons. I wish I didn’t have vision issues, but now that I have this I never once go home feeling uneasy. If you can see Dr. Shah it could be the miracle that you needed.

Simply the Best
I have had several Doctor's give me eye injections, but Dr. Shah is the best. Having had several bad experiences with others I was hesitant to try again. There was no need to worry. Dr. Shah is so reassuring and professional. He is skilled and explains everything as he goes along. If you are in need of retinal services run don't walk to Dr. Shah.Dale Wire

Shah is wonderful, DLV Vision's a nightmare
Was referred to DLV Vision for Macular Degeneration. Dr. Shah is wonderful... competent, knowledgeable and kind with a great "bedside manner". The office, however, is a disaster.

I HIGHLY recommend Dr. Shah for your eye surgery. I had some floaters so my General Doctor recommended Dr. Shah. The entire staff works very well together. They ran several tests, found the problem very quickly and I was in surgery within a few weeks. It has been three months since my Macular Fold surgery and my eyesight is so much better. I am very thankful to Dr. Shah for his confidence, caring nature and expertise.

I have been a patient of Sanket U. Shah, MD for over a year. He is an excellent ophthalmologist, and I was (and still am), so fortunate to have been placed under his care. I suffered a retina detachment in October 2019, Dr. Shah did a vitrectomy surgery on me and the results have been great! I continue to see him for check-ups and any concerns I come across. I highly recommend him for all your ophthalmology needs.

I had a good experience. I had a small floater that one day turn into a large floater that eventually became a hard membrane over the retina. My vision dropped to 15, but after surgery it went back to 20. There was no pain during or after the surgery which consisted of removing the membrane.

Fantastic! Had a Retina Detachment/Tear. The healing process took much less time than anticipated, weeks v months. Was given good instructions about the healing process/medication schedule. I would only suggest one thing, if possible rent a massage table for a day. Had to be on my face/stomach position for one night and sleep was difficult to accomplish. A massage table with a facial cut out would have been the best. I feel that I followed Dr. Shah's instructions very carefully and thus had a quick recovery. Not being up and about very much and sticking to the instructions worked! Office staff was very accommodating and helpful and appointments frequently were earlier than scheduled.

I would give 0 stars if you had it. He did not know what he was doing when he treated my eye. I had horrible pain and discomfort afterward and he said he was not able to do the procedure after all the discomfort he caused.

Excellent. He was pro-active and aggressive in treating my post-surgery inflammation and very hands-on and diligent, going the extra mile to meet me in his office on a Sunday for a follow up exam. And he was very clear in explaining my condition, how I needed to proceed with the meds, and everything else.

I contacted Miramar eye group and was referred to care of Dr. Shah. From the moment I met him I was impressed with his knowledge, professionalism and humanity. He diagnosed my eye condition readily and offered me surgery since he felt I was a good candidate. No surgery would have condemned me to partial blindness in the future. Scheduling of surgery was promptly done. Technical assistants in office and at hospital were all so caring and helpful. All paperwork was completed without a hitch. I had surgical vitrectomies done on each eye separated by one month, Both surgeries were painless and no complications occurred. I followed Dr. Shah's instructions to the letter. How right he was! His skill in this surgery is exemplary! Within a few days after surgery my eyesight was good. Dr. Shah expects that my vision will continue to improve over next few months. The bottom line is if you need eye retinal surgery, Dr. Shah is the best doctor to see.

I think Dr. Shah saved my life. He ordered many tests to find out why there was a swelling behind the retina in my left eye. A chest x-ray & CT scans resulted in finding a large chest aneurysm. They couldn't cauterize it, so filled it with 24 coils. They never figured out why I have that swelling, but I'm here today thanks to Dr. Shah. And, he's a terrific ophthalmologist. He's inserted steroid implants in my left eye every 6 months to reduce the swelling & that's worked very well. Thank you!
