Infusion Department part 1
Telehealth
For over 10 years, I have been a patient of Dr. Santiago de Solo MD for my Osteoporosis and Osteoarthritis conditions, and to date, I have had no complaints regarding his medical practice. However, since December 2023, I have been experiencing various issues with the Infusion Department. Initially, they requested a referral, which, according to my primary care physician, Dr. Wilfredo Gonzalez, was already submitted for multiple visits, including until June 17, 2024. I tried to explain this to Ms. Gabriela, but she insisted that they had not received anything. I had to personally retrieve the referral and deliver it to them. To my surprise, on Monday, February 12, I received a call from the Infusion Department threatening me with a fine if they didn't have the document that day. In my 40 years of visiting different doctors in Miami, I have never been accused of being fined.

Betrayed
I went to him for diagnosis that turned out to be PMR. He prescribed a steroid w/ major side effects that he blamed on me when they happened. When I started having different pain and told him, he accused me of asking for pain meds & didn’t try to diagnose until the pain spread to my wrists. He ordered an MRI of my right wrist, but didn’t bother to tell me the results. Instead, someone in the office called and told me the pain was from “my RA” that had worsened. The doctor never told me I had RA. When I asked him, he said he would never call, just someone in his office, and she had been wrong. I found another rheumatologist who treated the RA w/ success. I still feel totally betrayed by this man.

Do you self a favor and find a better Doctor, not only they want to change for everything and I have a federal insurance the staff is very unprofessional and nasty took me a whole month for them to call my insurance for a pre authorization on one of medication they also put you to hold when they don't want to deal with a patient. When you sick and suffer all kind of pain you need a doctor with you and for you not against you
