Dr. Sara Bruce, MD

I saw Dr Bruce in May 2022. She was on point to everything. After she went over everything she asked if I had any questions, which I didn’t. She answered every question I had before I could ask it:

I was searching for the phone number and noticed there were some very negative reviews. She's been my surgical oncologist since January 2016; I highly recommend her. Having cancer or being afraid of having cancer can be really stressful, but she is a really great, honest surgeon. No matter how great the surgeon, you still have to be your own advocate, but she has been pretty responsive to concerns about) new lumps, etc. and has pressured diagnostics. She had been very respectful of my wishes-- hasn't pushed drastic steps in surgeries recommended by other doctors when I said no. In fact, I once complained to her about another doctor on my treatment team trying to push removal of all my lymph nodes in my arm, and she mentioned that she had told the other doctor I wouldn't like that treatment option. She must see hundreds of people, but she remembered how I felt about treatments and risk at the tumor boards. She's honest, kind, and very competent.

She is a great surgeon!!

sara bloom bruce was very dismissive of my concerns. she did not review my medical history or care that i was sobbing and in pain. she did not return calls. do not recommend.

Dr. Bruce is so helpful and caring. She called me before appointments to let me know about results. She explained my treatment thoroughly and her office has done an amazing job making sure everything is easily scheduled for me.

I saw Dr. Bruce last Fall (referred from OB/GYN). The condition I had was not new. I'd had it about 8 years ago, and the wonderful doctor I had then, treated me successfully with a topical cream. I had to see Dr. Bruce on 4 different appointments, the last of which she wanted to perform a biopsy on my breast that would leave a 1 inch scar! I begged her for the prescription for the topical cream instead! She agreed and my condition cleared up in three weeks. Do NOT go to her. Appalling practice!

After a 2016 breast cancer diagnosis, I was terrified.. My internist referred me to Dr. Bruce & from the very first promptly-scheduled appointment I knew I was in great hands. Dr. Bruce took all the time necessary to describe the type of breast cancer that I had, the treatment that would require surgery, chemotherapy, and radiation, and sent me home with very informative book on breast cancer that I could continue to reference. Dr. Bruce is very well respected for her fine work & patient care.
