Dr. Sara Miniaci-Coxhead, MD

Went to her for recommendation for a revision surgery in late summer 2022 for complications from previous lapiplasty surgery done by a different doctor in June 2021. She said my foot was not over corrected and we could do the small thing, which was sesamoidectomy of fibular sesamoid and if it did not make me better, we could fuse the MTP joint. Did surgery on December 7, 2022. I spent the entire next year in increased pain than I had prior to this surgery. Her answer was that it takes a year to heal. I suggested an MRI at 9 months post op. She recommended a 3T MRI. MRI tech said that I could not have a 3T because metal would distort the image. Went to a new doctor in 2023. He said I was over corrected from first surgery . Had him fuse my MTP joint. I continue to have debilitating pain in and at surgery site where she performed surgery. Current doctor is convinced that the nerve is cut or damaged from not protecting it. I cannot use my foot at 50% of a normal person would.

From the first time I saw Dr. Miniaci I completely trusted her. Everything was explained thoroughly. She asked a lot of questions to determine my true issues. She was always accessible and happy to answer any questions. She did surgery on my ankle and I knew exactly what to expect. The aftercare from her and her staff was great.I absolutely would recommend Dr. Sara Miniaci-Coxhead.

Dr Miniaci Coxhead was complete and caring in discussing ankle replacement and She is an excellent surgeon! She is straight forward with sharing information I needed to be successful in my ankle replacement surgery. She has competent staff, whose empathy and knowledge helped me thru process

Tried to schedule appt. Taking info was short, not pleasant and I hung up.

very thorough , treats the "whole patient" not just an X-ray result. good exam and got to the bottom of another real long standing issue others missed. I give her 5 out of 5 stars !

She took time to examine my feet and answer all my questions, and followed up promptly with some abnormal lab results. Much better than my previous ankle/foot orthopedic surgeon.
