Dr. Sarah Boaz, MD

My interactions with 'Dr' Boaz were highly unprofessional. She is not confident, very threatening, inconsistent with the prescriptions of meds...especially considering that I already had a regimen of Rxs from a triple-board certified psychiatrist! 'Dr' Boaz contra-prescribed everything. This person is highly under qualified and over her head. Just observing her in front of her computer...she looked overwhelmed and confused. ALL of the RNs and other personelle stated that I did not need to be under hospital care. And yet, HCA Memorial Jackaonville, notoriously, kept me there for as long as legally possible. Yes, they do have a reputation amongst the medical community. Why? Because I had medical insurance. Get it? $$$$$$$. IMHO, Dr Boaz and HCA Memorial in Jacksonville, FL should be investigated and stopped from fleecing insurance companies and their policy holders. I wish Jax News would look into this.

This is the first time I have ever posted a review of a doctor but this is warranted and I hope will help others steer away from this heartless woman and her practice. She was the psych on call at Memorial Hospital so we did not choose her when my son was admitted for medication management. Despite multiple outreaches by his primary care/admitting physician, nurses and finally the charge nurse, she never showed up for her consult. We waited a day and a half. She spoke harsh words to the charge nurse who sought a response to the consult request on multiple occasions. Dr Boaz is a disgrace to her profession and I honestly hope I can spare someone the mistake of seeking her services. Psychiatrists work in a field where patients often struggle with extreme emotional pain and need compassionate care. Dr Boaz has no compassion. She may have the letters alongside her name but that is all she has to offer. Buyer beware.
