Sorry to say we will not be coming back to this office. Dr. Michelle Storandt is a good doctor unfortunately doctor that owns the practice Sarah Bourland isn’t. Ever since they changed staff at the front desk every time I come they always tell me I have a balance even after they demand you to pay your copayment before visit. Today was different they demanded me to pay a balance that they didn’t even know where it was coming from.I’m just know knowing about this other payment and they demanded that I pay it now. I’m no stranger to this office last time I was here was in December and from what the front desk told me I had 1 previous balance they would look into it and get back to me. Now that I came back today they said I had two unpaid visits. I don’t know how if they always charge us before we even go to the back with the dr.!!!! The front desk needs help they never seem to know any information about billing. Apparently the dr that owns the practice is the billing department as well. they failed to inform me that my previous payment was applied to a co insurance invoice, they failed to inform me about my second balance. I asked the doctor that owns the practice to show me proof of when they tried to reach out to me about this new balance but didn’t show me a thing. She stayed I had to pay that today I told them I would schedule a further payment and she didn’t want to take it and she threatened me it would be send to collections if I didn’t pay it today!!!!! I’m sorry if I don’t have the money at the moment we are tying to make funeral arrangements on top of everything else. Clearly didn’t care if my kids have been seen dr Michelle storandt for years. If you read this Dr Storandt thank you for always being kids and very caring for my children if you ever leave this practice please let me know.

Owner but will not hear you out
Be sure to fact check what the front office tells you insurance wise! I was told they accepted my insurance after giving them all of the numbers and information needed. Fast forward 3 appointments later, I was told they don't in fact take my insurance and I am responsible for almost $500 out of pocket for the 3 appointments. After 6 months of trying to get the doctor to call me or ask the billing department to understand what happened, I was denied any sympathy and was put at fault and forced to pay. I was told I should have double checked with my insurance to make sure and it's my fault for believing the front office and I better be appreciative that they even saw my son because they didn't have to since they don't accept my insurance. Just be careful with the front desk and when there comes an issue, don't expect the doctor to empathize with you or listen to what you have to say.

Poor front office
First let me start by saying, my kiddos have been patients for years, we moved and I continued to make the drive because we love the doctors. I have never had an issue with any provider or any of the medical assistant. Everyone of them are very respectful and welcoming. Now, it has been almost every visit that I have had issue with front staff. Wither it be not notifying soon enough if insurance issues have occurred, or collecting a co-pay and for a while always having to mail it back to me. I even would tell them kept my credit on the account so didn't have to pay next visit. Once they tried to collect and I told them I knew I had a credit, they proceeded to tell me I did not and had me wait 10 minutes to tell, my credit was over looked and now it magically was showing. When I took my daughter in Oct/Nov 2021, I updated my insurance and had issue with how I was spoken too and how they always collect and give me money back. With years of the same issues, anyone would be upset.

We normally see Dr. Storandt (whom we LOVE) but needed to get in for a sick visit, so saw Dr. Bourland instead. She was harsh with my 4 and 18 month old, didn't wear full PPE, was angry that they had walked around the exam room and she had to sanitize more of the room (I work in direct patient care - they should be sanitizing the whole room every time!) was just generally not warm or pleasant, didn't talk to or reassure my 4 year old, and was condescending. If I were offered another appointment with her for a sick visit, I would absolutely decline and wait to see our regular doctor at the practice.

Love, Love, Love Dr. Bourland! She has been treating my oldest since she was 5 yrs old and my youngest since she was born. This absolute favorite pediatrician! She is caring and knowledgeable and couldn't find a better doctor for your kids.
