I have been a patient of Dr. Lainhart for at least 10 years, and have followed her from her prior practice to where she is now, with Norton. Dr. Lainhart is knowledgeable, compassionate and kind, and will go above and beyond for her patients. I personally trust her judgement and recommendations. I was initially recommended to Dr. Lainhart by a great friend when I was new to the area, one with some prior health issues that were handled by Dr. Lainhart with care and sensitivity. I too am a physician but in a different specialty, and giving great care as Dr. Lainhart does in these times can by challenging. I would like to illustrate an example of why I hold Dr. Lainhart in such high regard: In my position, I often spend time with cancer patients, diagnosing and giving results; both with the patient and their care team. One particular patient I had just diagnosed with cancer was a patient of Dr. Lainhart's - an elderly woman around 90, still fairly active. This women was without local family and with her new diagnosis, needed a consultation with a surgical/oncological team. When I reported the cancer results to Dr. Lainhart (as the patient's provider), she not only made sure the patient had a great team to assist her with treatment, but should she need it, was willing to attend the consultation with this patient to assist as needed and assure she would get to the appointment. This patient had been under the care of Dr. Lainhart for many years, and Dr. Lainhart was aware the patient likely did not have someone to take to the consultation. That is what I mean by going above and beyond. Thank you to Dr. Lainhart and her staff for the great work they do.
