Dr. Sarah Mennella, MD

I am a physician, and my opinion is that Dr. Mennella is first-rate. She is thorough, asks the right questions, caring, and careful. Based on my work, I've observed many psychiatrists at work, and she is excellent.

I feel incredibly lucky and grateful to have found Dr Mennella. I would recommend her unreservedly to my closest friends and family. She is straightforward but also kind, caring, respectful and most importantly extremely knowledgable and competent. I have total confidence in her and really appreciate her patient-led approach. In psychiatry it is important to feel involved and comfortable with your care plan. Definitely the best psychiatrist I have ever seen and a superior standard of care.

Appointments are very thorough. Did not feel rushed at all. Took the time to understand my needs. Highly recommend.

Dr. Sarah is a kind and caring doctor. She made an effort to get to know me and she always keeps up with things that are going on in my life. She takes care of my mental health and asks about my physical health too

I have been going to Dr. Mennella for over a year and made so much progress. She helped me find the right medication and checks in with my therapist often. The appointments are thorough. She asks a lot of questions and always seems to remember what I say. Recently my insurance stopped paying for my medication and she talked to them and got it fixed right away.

My former psychiatrist retired and I found Dr. Mennella through my insurance. She is really easy to talk to. I feel super comfortable around her and the office is great. I am able to get appointments easily and she responds to my chart messages or calls me back usually the same day. My mental health has improved a lot since I've been seeing her.

I would give her zero stars if I could. A family member was under her care and she has zero bedside manners. She told us that we are expecting too much as if a phone call (during covid and a no visitor policy) to update us on our loved ones health is expecting too much. We were left blind with what was going on. She then had the audacity to say she is “blunt”. Doctors need to be professional and compassionate as well as empathetic not blunt in a situation with mental health. Families who are caregivers are under a tremendous amount of stress trying to care for loved ones with mental health issues and if she doesn’t understand that she needs to go back to medical school. She is fresh out of medical school and has a lot to learn in regards to dealing with a patient’s family and support system.
