During the consultation on 12/12/18, I told Dr. Gupta I had a severe allergy to cashews, and the last 2 reactions landed me in the ER. When we discussed my allergy test, he asked if I wanted to be tested for nuts, and I told him I did not (anyone with allergies knows that the more times you are exposed, the more severe your reactions will be). He "forgot" to tell his nurse not to test me for cashews and I ended up having to take Benedryl because my mouth/tongue/lips started itching on the way home. And he wasn't the least bit apologetic or concerned when he told me I HAD been tested for cashews. I can't believe how careless he could be when he knew a patient had a severe nut allergy. My bill came at the beginning of February and I paid it. Fast forward to the beginning of July (SIX MONTHS after my visit) and I received ANOTHER bill for $50. Apparently, his staff is just as careless as he is because they hadn't initially billed me for my full visit.

Dr. Gupta barely spoke to me at each visit. I had to ask him to wear gloves when examining or treating me & during my last visit when I requested that he wear gloves again, he responded with "do you shake peoples hands, because it's the same thing." I was told that I was tested for 40 food allergies via skin but I only counted 20. I asked for a call from the nurse but never received one. Instead of reviewing a care plan he prescribed flonase & gave me a paper about allergy shots.
