Dr. Satya Reddy, MD

Dr. Reddy's staff is very rude and uncaring. In addition, Dr. Reddy got frustrated because a treatment he wanted to prescribe for my condition was denied by insurance and had to be appealed. He was unwilling to deal with that, so I went through the appeals process myself. After many tries, the treatment was finally approved. When I went to get the drug, I was told by the specialty pharmacy that Dr. Reddy had canceled the prescription even though it was the only treatment for my condition because he didn't want to deal with the insurance company anymore. I then had to start all over with another doctor, so my treatment was delayed. Thankfully, I found a doctor who was willing to go to bat for me.

VERY DISAPPOINTING EXPERIENCE (cataract surgical evaluation)! Appointment time was an hour overdue and I was rushed through at the end of the day. Echo disappointment in reviews about front office staff (and technician that performed eye exam on me - who also tried to upsell me on the most expensive lens). Was given a tablet to listen to videos for a couple minutes of an overview of a couple lens prior to seeing Dr. Reddy. Dr Reddy spent MAYBE five minutes with me - NO explanations of the surgical or recovery procedure, never discussed available lens, what lens was appropriate for my cataract surgery. Dr sent me off to the insurance coordinator and while she was pleasant - it felt like a car dealership upsell to the most expensive lens - the Dr never discussed my eye exam results or lens needs. Going for second opinion where the Dr actually takes the time to explain the cataract lens surgical and recovery processes and considerations for what lens is best for my needs.

I visited several eye doctors over the years in the North Shore area. Look no further than Dr. Reddy!! he is the only one that properly diagnosed my second case of uveitis. Also don’t listen to the reviews about the office staff. They are very nice and helpful.

I initially saw Dr. Reddy as a recommendation from my brother, to seek a second opinion for a condition called Fuchs Dystrophy. After my initial visit I realized Dr. Reddy was the doctor for me! He was extremely informative and took the time to answer ALL my questions (I pulled out a list). I would say he is the best cornea specialist in the entire New Orleans region. He performed DMEK surgery on me and I can honestly say he has given me the BEST GIFT EVER!!!! The gift of eyesight! Although I am still healing, my eye is so much better than before, and I owe it all to him. His staff has been wonderful and overly accommodating with all my questions. I cannot say enough good things about Dr. Reddy, neither can my brother.

Dr. Reddy is an excellent doctor, but his staff is unhelpful and not concerned about patient issues.

The front office was horrible. When you make an appointment you should be told that patient only. They had a young lady, college student, was allowed to sit in the waiting area as well as a lady and her father. The woman greeting patients should be terminated for discriminating on allowing some patients to have people with them in waiting and throwing out other people

I would definitely recommend Dr reddy to anyone who needs excellent care with their vision!

Dr. Reddy and staff are all wonderful. My husband had a cornea transplant and everything went very well and easy. Dr. Reddy is very compassionate and explained the procedure thoroughly.

Have been seeing this doctor for a few years now. I have multiple problems with my right eye, which threatened my vision . I owe this young man a debt that I can never repay. I am 61 years old and had nearly given up on being able to continue working. Many thanks and undying gratitude !
