Recommend disregarding the one-star rating
Bedside Manor is excellent, but that's not why we go to see him. This doctor is a master of his trade.My wife has heart issues, and I had a stroke, we wouldn't go to anyone else. We areIf a person has problems with their insurance company dropping the good doctor's coverage at the last minute, is that not the fault of the insurer, instead of the doctor? Did the one star person think that the good doctor should just cover them for free because their insurance company dropped that doctor at the last minute? I suggest they get better insurance, instead of poisoning a review and blaming the doctor for their own insurance choice.

incompetent staff
having heart issues, my doctor recommended them. Did consult and wanted me to do ecco and stress test, soonest could get in was about 40 days out.... went ahead with appointment but stressed out due to heart concerns. They called me three days prior to appointment to say need reschedule appointment as my insurance had not approved. They said usually takes 7 days for insurance company to approve and that may be problem. So they have had 40 days to call my insurance company for approval but waited till last minute to submit to my insurance company. When I brought this to their attention they said soonest could get me in was another 40 days out....

I had already seen a Cardiologist and was told that surgery was not necessary at that time. I went to seen Dr. Dhawan for a second opinion. The day I was scheduled for additional testing that my first doctor deemed unnecessary I collapsed in the hospital lobby. I was scheduled for immediate emergency surgery, where a triple bypass was performed. I quite literally owe my life to Dr. Dhawan. He is the only cardiologist I would recommend.

I can wholeheartedly recommend Dr. Dhawan. I first started seeing him on an emergency basis and he has done an excellent job of diagnosing and treating my problems. He is unfailingly courteous, really listens and is very patient in explaining the necessity for various treatments and making sure that I understand what he is telling me about any aspect of my care. Having had other cardiologists in the past has given me a basis for comparison and Dr. Dhawan deserves a his five star review.

I started to have increase chest pain and shortness of breath this summer of July 2017. I was a little hesitant of my results from the echocardiogram. However, Dr. Dhawan reassured my diagnosis and thoroughly explained in great detail of what type of treatments I may need to repair my Atrial Septal Defect at the age of 36. He is a very caring physician, and I would recommend him to all my friends.

I have never had any issue with my heart, but during a routine physical I was told that I needed to visit a cardiologist. I was extremely afraid of what might be the case, so I reluctantly followed through on setting up my appointment. From the first call to my final diagnosis (I'm perfectly fine), I was taken care of with smiles, sincerity, and professionalism. I can't tell you how much I appreciate Dr. Dhawan and the entire team that helped me through this time in my life. Thank you!

Finding a doctor that is both skilled AND compassionate is difficult to find, but that is indeed what you have with Dr. Dhawan. In 2015 my mom was diagnosed with Atrial Fibrillation. Dr. Dhawan has cared for her for two years and even ‘gone to bat’ for her recently when she needed a pacemaker (the cardiologist that would be performing the procedure was reluctant to do so because of her age). Dr. Dhawan said, “I want to help your mom get to that century mark!” You see my mom is 96 years old!

5 stars are not enough for Dr. Dhawan. He is truly amazing. Always takes his time, asks questions and referrers other specialists when needed. He went as far as calling another doctor and having a procedure scheduled for the following week when the wait time was over 30 days. He researched and found a new primary doctor for me. He takes care of all his patients, all of our medical needs. Highly recommend Dr. Dhawan, he saved my heart.

It's all too rare to find doctors who are as compassionate or who listen as well as Dr. Dhawan does. His unhurried bedside manner, communication outside of business hours, and willingness to advocate for you when needed all show his genuine care for his patients. The rest of the staff is always kind and polite as well. I feel very lucky to be a patient of theirs. Highly recommended!

What do you do when you are on vacation in another state and you are told you need triple bypass open heart surgery? You seek out the most competent cardiologist. I was referred to Dr. Dhawan by the physician in a walk-in clinic. He saw me that same day, and Dr.Dhawan saved my life. He is competent, kind, professional, compassionate, experienced and trustworthy. From diagnostic testing to his recommendation of a top surgeon, he gave me the best care possible. I highly recommend Dr. Dhawan.

He took verbal data from me, did physical examination, had me to wear a cardiac monitor for a week, then return to get results from the monitor. It was determined that I had an irregular heart beat. He had me do a stress test w/ultrasound monitoring and other cardiac tests.
