Staff was nice but the wait time was a little long. I chose him because of his great reviews. Unfortunately, I felt that he didn’t listen to me. I tried to explain that I felt tingling and numbness in both hands but he insisted that his nurse only specified the right hand. As he interviewed me he asked, “Are you diabetic?” When I said no he said, “Well, not yet.” The time with him was very short and felt rushed. Although he seemed nice, he was chastising. For the $60 copay, the visit with him was short, only to be told that he wanted to see me in two weeks.

My first visit to Dr. Poulos went very well. Dr. Poulos examined my hands and advised me his opinion of my situation. He explained things very well. He recommended cortisone injections in both hands to relieve my symptoms. I was very impressed with Dr. Poulos and his entire staff

Getting an appointment with Dr. Poulos was so incredibly easy and quick. I expected a 4-6 week wait. Second, I didn’t have to fill out tons of paperwork. That in and of itself was a huge relief as I had just fallen and sprained my right wrist. There was virtually no wait time. I was in and out of his office within an hour, a huge plus since I had another appointment scheduled about an hour and half of his appointment. Finally, Dr. Poulos didn’t immediately jump to “you need surgery” or “you need a cortisone shot”. He gave me the option of getting a shot but suggested we wait until my trigger finger was actively inflamed. I was also instructed to call immediately if my symptoms worsened.

All went wonderful – Jul 14, 2020

Once I was called to see Dr. Poulos I liked what I saw. Cleaned offices and friendly staff. I also received a good impression from the doctor. Once we met and saw my problem he knew exactly what to do. I needed a plastic surgeon. I told him I agreed. I told my primary VA doctor there was nothing wrong with my hand. I needed a surgeon who could redo my skin draft on my left index finger. Unfortunately he didn’t listened. I apologized to Dr. Poulos for wasting his time. On the contrary he was a good sport about. He went ahead and preceded to advise my VA doctor the recommendation and there is plastic surgeon right across the hall. We finalized the appointment by taking an X-Ray on my left index finger where the skin graph is. The only thing I would like to see is the front desk office, the young lady could be a little more courteous to new patients and all patients. Thank You!
