Stay away from doctor Sayed Jovkar. Don't get full about his degrees and licenses all over the walls in his office. He just thinks about the money and the patients are just a source of money making. He was recommend by a friend. I went to him for just a simple yearly eye exam. After checking my eyes he said: you have a birth defect in your right eye. I told him this is not a birth defect. When I was child, my baseball rolled under the rose bushes. When I was trying to get the ball a torn got in my eye and damaged it and since then I have a foggy eye on that eye. He examined the eye gain and he said: "with a simple surgery you can get 20/20 vision". I told him I have seen many eye doctors since then and all of them told me the eye is damaged and sugary doesn't do anything. After many explanation he convinced me that they were wrong and it can be fixed. I gave up and two weeks later went for sugary in a hospital. Make it short, the eye just didn't improve at all, it had a side effect after the sugary. Every time, I took a hot shower my eye was twitching. When I told him he said: your body needs to be adjusted to that. Month later I told him my vision is also not better. He said: it is much better than before sugary. I got mad and I told him the eye is mine or yours. I know that nothing has been changed except has a twitching side effect. I left his office angry and never went back to him. The good thing the side effect is gone after years but my vision has never got better. Just FYI. My insurance was billed 15k at that time

Cataract procedure
I am now 2 weeks Post Op after my first cataract procedure, and I can not express how happy and pleased I am with the results. Dr Jovkar has given me a complete whole outlook on life. My case was not your typical everyday cataract procedure. There were great challenges from the beginning. However, with Dr Jovkar skills and expertise, he took on my case without any hinderance, and developed a successful plan. The outcome was above superb. Now I can not wait for my second cataract procedure. I would also like to recognize Dr Jovkar's entire office staff. Everyone is professional, friendly and so very helpful. The staff's demeanor truly creates an environment which puts you at ease from the moment you enter the office. I would recommend to anyone and everyone, that they visit and meet Dr Jovkar for their vision needs. Dr Jovkar is truly master of his skills, a professional to his profession, and for some, a godsend to his patients,

Cataract surgery done well
He did Cataract surgery for both of my mom's eyes and everything went well. Nice and honest doctor. He made sure we were well informed throughout the process. My mom is very satisfied with how her vision has improved.

Dr. Sayed Jovkar Review - Excellent
Dr. Sayed Jovkar is treating me for glaucoma and recently performed cataract surgery on both my eyes. My cataract surgery was challenging because of my other medical conditions and medications. Dr. Jovkar takes the time to explain the details of the procedures and answers all my questions. His experience and knowledge, along with his ‘call our office anytime with questions’ attitude, helped me to have ‘excellent’ results. I would highly recommend Dr. Jovkar to family and friends

Avoid
Incomplete examination, was in a hurry and did not listen or answer questions. Unnecessarily took fundus photo of posterior pole and charging me for it. Front office refuses to file claim to VSP after repeated requests and not yet given me a super bill. ( nearly a year)

My Favorite Eye Doc!!
I experienced a "posterior vitreous detachment" in one eye on a Saturday morning several years ago, around age 70. Calling around to local Ophthalmologists (in a panic), I was only able to reach Dr. Jovkar who told me to immediately come-in to his office. He handled my problem perfectly, and I visit Dr. Jovkar routinely since then for checkups. I also unfortunately have Glaucoma so control the intraocular pressure well with three different prescription eye drops that he prescribed. I obviously need an excellent eye doc for my problems. Dr. Jovkar is always knowledgeable, and is also a rather 'caring' doctor. I can say nothing negative at all! My appointments are never rushed, his staff are all friendly and helpful, and I can always get an appointment as quickly as needed. I personally 'enjoy' Dr. Jovkar too, he’s low-keyed, easy to reach through phone or Web site, always professional. I pray he outlives me!!

Dt. Jovkar is simply the best!! – Apr 01, 2022

I was first diagnosed with pigmentary Glaucoma in 1983. In that time I have had 3 Opthamologists who monitored my eye pressure and checked my eye health on a regular basis. As each retired, they recommended me to another. I have been very happy with all the doctors, until this last one, number 4, Dr Jokvar. When entering his office for the first time, I felt uncomfortable. Everyone seemed on edge. I stocked it up to COVID, but still everyone I came into contact with was cold and unfriendly. The doctor was very cold, asked me no questions and mumbled, sending me on my way after a quick pressure check and eye drop refill. The second visit was very similar, except I was put into a room with computers and had to wait for 20 minutes before going through some tests. I didn’t put see the doctor but for about 2 minutes to say I was fine. I called to cancel my 3rd appointment as I was moving to Southern Oregon a couple of days before. Locating a doctor in my new small town was a bit of a task

Completely incompetent: do not go to this person (it would be a wild exaggeration to call them a doctor). They will waste your time amongst multiple visits (just trying to generate multiple fees?), they run hours (literally) late in their appointments, have lost records of the purpose of your appointment, send the wrong prescriptions to pharmacies. The list goes on ... they are truly awful - avoid at all costs.

Please please please Don't make appointments with him. His whole practice is a money making business. They don't want anything to do with their patients hardly spends 5 minutes with you. It's clearly mentioned in their site that first time visit checkup will have $75 charge but I received a bill of $250. Please don't go there. Dr. Jovkar had no interest in his patients. After checkup Dr. Suggested me to get a small surgery. They were not clear about how much it will cost and finally after 4 phone calls they told me it will cost around $8000. I consulted different ophthalmologist and got my surgery done in $250. And Dr. Jovkar charged $250 just for first time visit. It's just money making business for him, his patients doesn't mean anything to him to his staff.

This man has no patience with either the person he is examining nor with his staff. He runs his office with an eye to pad his pockets with unnecessary return visits that could have been accomplished in only one. The dialog between patient and Doctor is short and hurried . I have just canceled my upcoming appointment and will be seeking a new ophthalmologist.

This man has chosen a wrong profession! He has examined my wife’s eyes several times and has failed to prescribe the correct glasses! What makes it even worse is that he is extremely arrogant, impatient , and rude. He has no business being a doctor. He is certainly in a wrong profession!

I had a similar experience as the patient above. Ordered to do a bunch of tests. Are they all necessary?? If they are, Shouldn't we at least been told what tests were for?? Doctor failed to provide explanation on results of tests. The only things he said was mentioning some names of the tests, and asked me to book the next appointment. I was never given a written report and test results
