Pain was undertreated
I finally got to have my hernia repair a couple of weeks ago. I believe that Dr. Beman is an excellent surgeon, but I am in pain management, so my post op pain ended up being managed by my pain management doctor and I was told by a few people that that’s not how things are supposed to be done when someone is in pain management. Pain management is for my chronic pain and my post op pain was acute and caused by a surgery Dr. Beman did and therefore should have been managing by him. He and his nurses seem to be completely unaware of this and they made me feel like a drug seeker whenever I called about the amount of pain I was having. I realized I wasn’t going to get help from Dr. Beman and stopped telling them I needed more pain medication but they still treat me like a drug seeker when I have a concern. My recovery was much more difficult and stressful due to this issue and the office really needs to figure out how to handle pain management patients in the future.

This is an amazing surgeon all around. He is extremely competent in his profession. My results were incredible. He’s kind and truly cares about helping his patients. He exudes confidence and puts his patients at ease. He is available and patient when questions and concerns arise. Highly recommend!

Dr. Beman has excellent bedside manner. He gave me time, attention, and showed he really cares about his patients. I saw him for a colonoscopy. I recommend him highly.
