Practice: Palm Beach Dermatology. MD Scott Fayne The visit with this dermatologist ranked as one of the worst MD appointments I’ve had in my life. His arrogant and condescending nature put me ill at ease immediately. He did more talking “at” me (as if I were his petulant 12 year old) than listening to me. Actually I’m sure he wasn’t listening to me much at all. BUT, like the BMOC, he seemed to expect me to hang on his every word, as if he were a preacher of the gospel. I had a wonderful experience with a Mohs surgeon from this practice and should have waited to see the MD they recommended instead of taking the earliest appt available with Dr Fayne. I certainly won’t be going to see him again. Good riddance! Terrible experience. Note to the practice: for a full body check a female patient should always be offered to have a female present in the room when the MD is male. Nothing was inappropriate (except his pompous attitude), but I thought this was also worth mentioning.

I have gone to Dr Fayne for over 15 years. He diagnosed my recurrence of breast cancer when no other doctor did. Because of his diagnosis he saved my life. He immediately shared all his findings with my other specialist. He is humble and believes that medical team work produces the best outcome for the patient. I see him every 6 months. He is smart and kind. He treats me like family. He listens to me and there is a real doctor patient decision making process. Thank you Dr. Fayne.

He is extremely rude, dismissive and condescending. Worst experience I have ever had with a doctor. Just awful! I thought maybe he was just having a bad day until I read tons of similar reviews about him all over the internet. How does a doctor get away with treating people so poorly year after year??

Great Experience. The office is efficient and runs on time. Dr. Fayne explained my situation and the treatment plan. Checkout was a breeze. Would highly recommend.

I thought the staff was excellent at every level. My appointment was right on time. Dr Fayne is an exceptional Dermatologist with a reputation that matched my experience. He is very knowledgeable in his field and was able to pinpoint a problem I was experiencing that 2 other Doctors could not. The timeframe for full recovery was accurate and his bedside manners were impeccable. I have recommended him to several friends.

Fantastic dermatologist. Have seen him for a number of years. As a physician myself, he is certainly my top choice. Technical skills and friendly attitude, as well as a highly efficient staff, makes him my first choice.

He berated my profession, health administration, for the whole visit.He was a real jerk.

Excellent Doctor!

Dr. Fayne came across as bored and dismissive, which I could overlook in most cases. However, he then diagnosed my young son with an eczema flair up and prescribed hydrocortisone despite me pointing out it seemed more likely to be hand foot mouth disease, considering my son had never ever had eczema on his arms, hands or behind before. The hydrocortisone only aggravated the blisters and caused more pain. Turns out, my son did have hand foot mouth disease, as did 4 others in his class.

Dr Fayne has been our family dermatologist for over 20 years. He is caring, thorough and well liked and highly respected amongst the medical and patient community. Three months ago he saved my life. He found a rare and aggressive carcinoma on my elbow.He got on the phone immediately and got me into see the leading Oncologist in the area the same day. Ditto with the surgeon. He spent most of his time complaining bitterly about my insurance policy and how poor it pays.! He did not give a good explanation of why he chose to cut out a keratosis rather than use a spray, and did not listen when I told him I had pain . He missed seeing cellulitis and I had to be on antibiotics for the infection. Very unhappy.
