Doctor made accusatory statements about my medical history. I made attempts to thoroughly explain my history and offered medical records. Dr. Grayner still declined to treat me; just absolutely refused without giving clinical rationale as to why. Keep in mind I was simply seeing him for a short-term refill of a NON-controlled substance while my primary care doctor is on vacation. This should have been simple. Normally I would have known to check my doctors schedule ahead of time, but my father passed suddenly which threw me off, so by the time I was due for refill, I noticed my doc was out. Dr. Grayner shot back at me “well my dad died too!”. As if that’s relevant. It felt invalidating like he really wasn’t listening or being compassionate. The end result: I stated he is free to decline to treat me, but I am free to leave my feedback about our appointment. He said “oh are you threatening me? well i’m going to safety flag your file so we’ll never treat you again” and then hangs up.
