Shocked by what was said to my son
Some time ago I brought in my 15 y/o son to see Dr. Iwashyna for a routine medical issue. He had been seeing my two kids for two or three years. He saw my son by himself in the exam room. I had recently separated from my son's mother; it was a difficult time. When we got into the car, my son immediately said to me, "Dad, do you think you're a narcissist?" Taken aback, I asked why he would ask me that. He replied, "Dr. Iwashyna says you sound like a borderline narcissist to him." I was stunned... I don't know how his saying that might have been remotely helpful to my son. I still can't wrap my head around it. The next years were hard for my family. Dr. Iwashyna did nothing to make it better that day. That was the last time I took either of my kids to see him.

Always top notch care! We’re able to get Covid PCR tests & appointments immediately unlike my friends’ pediatricians.

My girls are 5 and going on 3. Dr. Scott has been their pediatrician since they were born. When he left his previous practice to start his own, we had to follow him. He's been great for our family since day 1 and we highly recommend him to anyone looking for a pediatrician. He's easy to talk to and he's great with the girls.

Dr. Iwashyna became my two sons’ doctor when he first joined the practice. I appreciated how he built a rapport with them, especially when they got into their later teen years and didn’t want Mom in the room with them. Now, as my oldest (24) is engaged and talking about kids himself, I’ve suggested Dr. Iwashyna for the future (never too early to plan!).

No one better than Dr. Scott. Takes the time to understand all issues and concerns. We have been a huge fan since his first hospital visit post-delivery of our daughter. Your children will be in excellent, capable hands with Dr Scott of Acorn Pediatrics. He will be our daughter’s physician until she ages out!

We love this practice. Appointments are easy to make, staff is very friendly and positive. What's not to love? Dr. I spends an appropriate amount of time with us, answers all of our questions (NEVER makes me feel silly for asking a question) and checks in to follow up when there's an issue. I'm so glad we found him!
