My eyes were finally bad enough for cataract surgery. I had recently become one of Dr. Lanoux new patients after my optometrist retired and his office was not in my Humana network. Randomly I was referred to Dr. Lanoux from Humana. I could not have gotten any luckier. Our office visits were professional and precise and his assistants efficient and friendly. It was when he told me it was time for cataract surgery that I was excited but also scared. When he was out of the room I asked his assistant 'Is he good' and it was her sincere reply of 'He's one of the best' that made me feel better. I have been extremely near sighted my entire life. The surgery on my right eye was life changing. I did have a laser procedure and that made my recovery painless. I just finished my second eye and my vision is now amazing. Dr. Lanoux was as happy with my outcome as I am. He is kind, and obviously very skilled at what he does. I cannot recommend him highly enough! He's great.

I have worn glasses for 57 plus years. I was very apprehensive about having eye surgery but Dr Lanoux was so reassuring and supportive that I agreed. I have been a patient since 2015 and have received exceptionally good care and treatment for glaucoma and cataracts. Dr. Lanoux is very personable, charming with a great sense of humor. I am greeted with a smile and receive 100% of his attention. Besides his professional experience - he ranks among the best in the state - his office is the best managed of ANY doctor's office I have ever visited. I am seen consistently at the time for which my appointment was booked. Not a minute later. There is zero waiting time. How he does it, is beyond me. It allows me to plan my day, rather than spend time in a waiting room not knowing when I might be seen.

In July I had laser cataract surgery with the progressive lens, in the right eye. It was amazing what I have been missing all this time. Then in September 2023, I had the left eye surgery done. I went for my second follow up and was told I now have 20/20 vision. It truly is a miracle considering I was severely nearsighted, astigmatism, and cataracts. I found Dr. Lanoux and his staff including the surgical team, very professional, caring, easy going, compassionate and totally understanding. You couldn't ask for a better team. I have been Dr. Lanoux's patient for over a year. I purposely sought him out based on many compelling reviews which characterized him as a competent and caring physician. I was concerned that my vision was compromised by cataracts. Dr. Lanoux confirmed that suspicion and then proceeded to perform cataract surgery on both of my eyes. In my case the procedure was complicated by the fact that I have Parkinson's Disease, for which reason Dr. Lanoux strongly encouraged me to opt for laser surgery. At a six-month check-up today I was pleased to learn that I now have 20/20 vision. So there is no question that Dr. Lanoux is a capable ophthalmologist. Just had my second cataract surgery. Want to say how impressed I am with Dr. Lanoux and his entire staff, both office and surgical. He has been providing eyecare for three generations of my family. My recent cataract procedures went smoothly due to both Dr. Lanoux's proficiency as a surgeon and his professional and caring staff. In the past, Dr. Lanoux diagnosed a detached retina in my left eye. He personally arranged for a retina specialist to see me immediately. That same evening, I had laser surgery to repair the very serious problem which untreated could have easily led to loss of vision in that eye. That event, together with years of providing eyecare to my family, has earned Dr. Lanoux my gratitude and recommendations to anyone seeking outstanding eyecare.

Dr. Lanoux is my hero. He restored my eye sight. I am 73 yrs old and in very good health but having a problem seeing a night to drive. I really stopped driving at night altogether and didn't really feel confident driving d/t my blurry vision. Well, Dr. Lanoux did Lasik surgery on my left eye 5/4/22 and my right eye 6/1/22. I can see so well now. Everything is so sharp and clear. I just didn't realize how slowly my vision was regressing. I really feel so confident driving. Dr. Lanoux restored my eyesight and confidence. He is an excellent surgeon. I had no issues/complications whatsoever. His hospital staff for the day of your surgery is top-notch/first class. You won't get better care anywhere. After having some issues with reading and distance vision, I decided to try Eyecare Associates in Metairie, Louisiana. I selected Dr Scott Lanoux and during my first visit Dr Lanoux mentioned that cataracts were causing some of my problems. I decided to have cataract surgery, completing my right eye in early May and my left eye a month later. I am extremely happy with the results. Dr Lanoux’s and his staff’s professionalism, expertise and confidence is amazing. It gave me complete confidence and made a stressful surgery very manageable. Dr Lanoux and his staff spelled out exactly how the process would work, from scheduling, to ordering eye drops, to verifying insurance and all pre-op and post-op details. Very entitled.....His manner is brusque . A narcissist of the first order-He did cataract surgery on me. I developed dysphotopsia which he played down for everything he was worth- he acted like I was crazy when I spoke about eye being blurred peripherally-- Will never go near his door again!!
