Dr. Scott Richard, MD

I recently had the pleasure of visiting Dr. Scott Richard, and I can't recommend him highly enough. From the moment I walked into his office the staff was welcoming and professional, making the checkin process smooth and efficient.Dr. Richard took the time to listen to my concerns and answered all of my questions in a clear and compassionate manner. He has a wonderful bedside manner, making me feel comfortable and understood. He thoroughness in examining my symptoms and his thoughtful approach to treatment gave me confidence that I was in good hands.What I appreciated most was his willingness to involve me in the decision-making process regarding my surgery. He provided various options and explained the benefits and risks of each, allowing me to make informed choices about my health.Dr Richard exemplifies what it means to be caring and skilled Gynecologist. If you are looking for a doctor who truly cares about his patients and is committed to providing excellent care, go to him.

He mislabeled and misdiagnosed my condition when I was neither female or transgender. I had an intersex related birth defect and apparently he didn't write that instead. I found out about my variation in better detail years after and I have a couple of correct records. Because of his incorrect notes and diagnoses in my medical records, I encountered additional problems and ignorance with other doctors because they could see what was written on my chart. Him incorrectly replying with an uneducated 'it was correct' made me feel lied to because I made myself clear beforehand. I genuinely thought I could trust him with my life even but I had no idea the things that were going on behind my back. I am totally disappointed and disgusted. I can't even go back to Jefferson because of this. My mom is also angry about this after I told her. Apparently this ignorance based assumption is still ongoing within the ignorance community. It's not right. There is no way I can ever trust a gyn doctor now

Everyone in the office is friendly, kind, and caring. Dr. Richard seems to genuinely care about his patients. He takes the time to explain things in a way that's easy to understand, and he gives options so that you're involved in your own healthcare decisions.

I wasn't properly treated and operated when I went to him, as I am still suffering with my ongoing disease. Now I don't have insurance and can't get the help I need.

Some information given in my diagnosis didn't make sense and found out it was wrong with another doctor.

Dr. Richard is a great doctor, listens well, doesn't rush, and explains to my understanding. I can't recommend him hogh enough.

I would not send my worst enemy there.

Not only did he get me through my cancer diagnosis physically, but he was also a mental help as well. Kind, compassionate and caring doctor. I am saddened that he has left Jefferson and don't know what I will do with my follow-ups.

I called his office and asked if he went somewhere else and they said no. There is no one else with Jefferson that does robotic surgery. I could regret that I never had the surgery from a year ago when we met and talked about it, but I had an accident and then couldn't. I really liked him. He is so kind and explained everything in detail. Now who do I go to. I really liked him and am finally able to get the surgery and now he's no where to be found. I am so disappointed.

Dr Richard is an excellent doctor! He is the most caring, kind and wonderful doctor! He is a fantastic surgeon. His bedside manner is amazing! I wish that he was a general physician so that I could see him for everything! Highly recommend him!

Dr. Richard is not only a world class surgery, but also a warm, compassionate, caring, down to the earth doctor. It was devastating to learn I have cancer after the surgery. But I am so grateful Dr. Richard has been on my side and treat me like a family member of his own every step of the way. For this Thanksgiving, I want to thank Dr. Richard for everything he has done for me. Nurse Jenna is amazing. She is always there for me answering all my questions. Because of them, I am doing well. I would highly recommend Dr. Richard to my family and friends.

He is an amazing doctor. I had a very complex situation and he was compassionate as well as skilled at resolving the issue. I ended up needing surgery and I would not have wanted anyone else handling my health care.

From the very beginning, Dr. Richard's warm, compassionate and caring personality relaxed me and made me feel not as nervous and anxious as I was before I met him. He is an outstanding doctor and I would highly recommend him to my family and friends that may have similar issues with gynecological cancer that I have. I want him to know I appreciate everything he has done for me and he has made me feel that everything will be alright.

Wasnt followed up with my ongoing disease. I was recommended to him but I couldnt get the treatment I need.

He did my surgery and he made a hard situation very easy. If I had to go thru it I am glad he was my dr.

Dr. Scott Richard is an amazing doctor. He did my surgery and got rid of a very serious stage of cancer. He is very caring and shows genuine interest in how you are doing. He answers all of your questions and does not rush you which I appreciated. I definitely would recommend him as a doctor if you need gynecological surgery. Luckily he chose Philadelphia to work at.

Dr. Richard is the most caring doctor I have ever met. From the first time I met him after my cancer diagnosis, he made me feel like everything would be ok....and thankfully it was. I would highly recommend him to any woman looking for a truly compassionate doctor. You can't imagine how great he is until you sit and talk with him. He is the very, very best doctor and was/is my guardian angel. Thank you, Dr. Richard, for being you and caring so much about your patients.

Dr Richard is a warm, friendly, and kind doctor. He addressed my health issues quickly, provided options for care, and was forthcoming with important information. The surgery he performed went very smooth, and within 2 weeks, my life had returned to almost completely normal.. I would absolutely recommend him and his office staff as one of the most professional and caring group of people in medicine.
