Patient, thorough and kind
I took my 5yo in to see Dr. Shipley and he was so kind and patient. He answered all of my questions, never made me feel like he was in a hurry and really had a great understanding of what was going on. I highly recommend him and his office.

Nice and Smart, Takes Things Seriously
Dr. Shipley has been my ENT for over 5 years. He's performed multiple surgeries on me, and I have always felt safe in his care. He takes my concerns seriously, and gives options as to what course of action we can take, depending on what works best for me. Personally I struggle to do sinus rinses, even though as a treatment option they would help me a lot. He understands that I'm not likely to do them, and helps me pursue other options for my issues. Also, after a deviated septum surgery, the profile of my nose was somewhat different, and he was able to find a way to get a rhinoplasty covered by my insurance so he could fix it without the cost of a cosmetic surgery. He's laid back, and treats his patients like friends. I definitely recommend him.

Our visit with Dr.Shipley was very disappointing and disheartening. We brought our 5-year-old son with unilateral hearing loss in to see Dr. Shipley. He performed usual ENT checks and said everything looks good. We asked him what we could do to help our son with his hearing loss including finding out what caused or is causing it. He said there are lots of tests you can do including genetic testing but really it's just up to us. He pressed the genetic testing, which isn't covered by our insurance and may or may not tell us anything. My husband and I both felt frustrated with this visit because his general tone was "Well, you can do any tests you want. Good luck." We were looking for his expert opinion but he gave us no information about what other tests we could look into, just that the cause of hearing loss was difficult to diagnose because it could be from anything. We left feeling disheartened and not knowing what steps to take next.

I have seen Dr. Shipley for years. The wait is usually longer than normal; however, this visit, I sat for 1 1/2 hours and not one person said a thing. I have other things to do in my day than wait on a DR. my time is valuable and I have other things to do. I had to leave and could not see the Dr. let's see if they charge me! I should get paid for their failure!

I moved from California 3 years ago where I had great doctors. I have been searching for new doctors in Utah . I needed an ent and Dr. Shipley was recommended to me by another doctor. He is a an outstanding doctor. He spent a good amount of time addressing all of my questions. He came up with a good plan for my problem and future care. I was so happy to have found him that I made an appointment for my husband next week. I would highly recommend him to family and friends.
