Relief
Called to make a second opinion appointment at Alexander Orthopedics in Palm Harbor & got one the next day with Dr Vizzi. Reviewed issues & addressed the problem during the same visit. Wow pure professionalism with patient care top priority.

Outstanding medical doctor!
Very thorough and explains everything in detail. Dr. Vizzi encourages questions and takes the time to be certain his patients understand the testing results and his recommended plan of treatment going forward.

Appointments feel rushed
All of my appointments with him have felt rushed. There is no conversation, no opportunity to ask questions, and when I do ask questions he responds with short uncompassionate answers. He did my knee scope and I have been in so much more pain after it. Jennifer Khonsari (PA) is great - I have been seeing her for all the post-operation shots I have had to get (steroids and hylauric acid) because I am in so much pain.

He is completely dismissive to post operative patient care. So quick to get you in and out of the post op appointments with no regard to questions or concerns you may have. Any question you are able to sneak out, he answers before the question is even finished being asked. "It takes time to heal" is his go to answer to help speed up the question process which caused him to miss the symptoms of an infection which caused prolonged pain and recovery time. Also, he did not wash his hands before checking open wounds, but washed his hands afterwards. He did try to assign back to work duties before even being able to walk and also blamed prolonged recovery time on not enough PT when he's the one that's prescribing the amount of PT required... people say "surgeons care about surgery, not how you're doing afterwards" and unfortunately in this case, they are absolutely right.

Dr. Vizzi is a great addition to the area. I had a knee scope performed by him for a torn meniscus and he guided me through the entire process. I was barely able to walk before the surgery and now I am back to normal within a month of the surgery. Everyone on his team is very nice, helpful, and professional with all my concerns. For any knee or joint problems, I believe Dr. Vizzi and his team are truly top notch. I have been to other Orthopedic surgeons in the past and have had much different experiences

Dr. Vizzi was very professional. He took the the time to listen and carefully diagnosed my shoulder problem. I have seen multiple orthopedic surgeons and he was the only one that took the appropriate time and helped me get back to work quickly!
