Caring and Responsive
Dr. Wasserstrom was a bit difficult to figure out at first, but he has been my PCP for well over 10 years. I went to see him in 2017 for issues of nausea and vomiting. He ordered blood work, and upon receiving the results, he called me at home on a Sunday afternoon to tell me to get to the ER immediately as I was borderline renal failure. I connected with an excellent urologist who removed many kidney stones from both tube. Dr. Wasserstrom then connected me with a highly regarded Nephrologist (kidney doctor). I am still with both my Urologist and Nephrologist.Dr. Wasserstrom also called me when I was hospitalized with pneumonia and made time to see me within 2 weeks of my discharge to follow up.I have great respect for his directions because he discusses my treatment with me, giving me options. He let's me know what he thinks is best, but agrees if I have another opinion of what I feel comfortable with doing. He will give me his reasoning if he disagrees.

Best visit I have ever encountered. He listened to me. Period. I consider him pretty much of an expert in his field. Answered EVERY question and concern I had. Even made a follow-up phone call the next day and it was a Saturday! Great MD!!

Rude and dismissive
Dismissive and not interested in trying to dig deeper to figure out the source of issues. He is almost impossible to get an appointment with and I've had to be seen by a nurse practitioner (who is much better and thorough than him). Any questions will be met with a rude response.

RUN
Poor, no eye contact. Doesn't listen. Obviously doesn't understand basic medical problems. Doesn't like to be questioned. Only wants to do rushed yearly physical. When attempting to get appt. for illness was told he had no appts. for 2 months. Consistently told to go see a specialist or to go to the emergency room. Specialists laughed at his dx. Will be looking for another primary care physician.

Dr. WASSERSTROM is very busy, but very thorough. He has been my PCP for five years. He sends me to the best specialists who have removed several cancer tumors. He is an excellent problem solver. He keeps me as healthy as possible. I am 74 years old with diabetes, a pacemaker, sleep apnea, incontenence, and overweight. I am now free of kidney cancer, colon cancer, uterine cancer, carpal tunnel, etc. Thanks to Dr. Wasserstrom, old age is not so bad. I am so lucky to have him in my corner.

Dr. Wasserstrom has been an amazing doctor for my husband and I. I have suffered from migraines since my early teen years and not one doctor has ever treated appropriately, I was spending more of my life WITH a migraine or rebound headaches from all the meds, than actually enjoying it. He worked diligently to help me with a preventative medication that worked for me and listened when I had concerns. He’s awesome and we wouldn’t go anywhere else!

I went to Dr. Wasserstrom to try to find a new GP at the beginning of 2018, but he was dismissive of my concerns and didn't truly listen to what I had to say about my symptom an medication history. Because I need to see a doc now, I called Maryland Medical to switch to a different provider w/in the practice, but they do not allow it, which is ridiculous. I will be switching to a different practice entirely.

We started seeing Dr. Wasserstrom 2 1/2 years ago, and I am ashamed I haven't taken the time to write a review before this. As a result of our first visit; my husband was diagnosed with stage 4 small cell cancer. Dr. has supported us both medically and emotionally throughout this trying time. I can not think of enough glowing adjectives to describe how caring and compassionate Dr. Wasserstrom and his staff are!!!!
