Always been kind to me
I've been seeing Dr kochhar for almost 5 years now, and my mental health has gone up and down, but she has always helped me get through it. I've recommended her to a few friends as she tends to understand Nero divergent people quite well. She gets that I'm their for my meds, and maybe a few questions, but other then that I don't have to make any conversation that I don't want to and it's very nice.

Refusal to acknowledge improvement
Dr. Kochhar is ignorant to the fact that people can improve in any possible way other than by following the strict regiment that she prescribes. Despite constant and frequent improvements in my own eyes as well as the eyes of others, Dr. Kochhar failed to note how I was doing as a person and only cared about how full my pill bottle was.

Hospitalized by Negligence
This psychiatrist prescribed a medication (3 in total) that ultimately sent me to the hospital with Serotonin Syndrome in 2020. The toxicologist referred to it as a "cocktail of drugs," and the pharmacist had a forced consultation with us. She gave no indication or warning that this could've been an outcome. I have since switched psychiatrists.

I greeted the doctor and called her by her first name, Seema. The first word out of her mouth was, “It’s Dr. Kochhar.” How is a patient supposed to open up to a doctor, let alone a psychiatrist. It was such a turn off. I went through the first session but the whole time it was so formal with lack of empathy. Totally not what you want from a Psychiatrist.

Would like to second all the reviews saying she seemed abrupt and wanted nothing to do with me. She would ask about my symptoms and then explain to me why those symptoms made no sense. Dismissed some of my symptoms as being typical of everyone. Said “your anxiety is out of control” and then prescribed me more of a medication that I expressed concerns about in our meeting. I almost burst out crying in her office and am still severely afraid of going to the psychiatrist because of this, even though I am seeing a different psychiatrist now.

Really focuses on getting the person stable rather than throwing prescriptions at you. I was overmedicated by a previous psychiatrist and she helped me wean off all but one that I told her I wouldn't part with. More stable than ever and I am so grateful. She is always so patient and compassionate.

I saw Dr. Kochhar, We talked for about 3 minute and she didn't want anything to do with me. I left and wondered what I did wrong? Very rude, very abrupt.

I liked Dr. Kochhar when I first met her. I returned for a second visit, following a hospitalization, and she was so unprofessional and completely humiliated me that I will never return to her or any other Dignity Health Physician.
