I am writing to express significant concerns regarding the standard of care I received during my recent medical treatment. Despite undergoing an elective surgical procedure shortly before the COVID-19 lockdown, I was not adequately informed about a critical diagnosis of severe Inflammatory Bowel Disease (IBD). The most alarming aspect of my medical experience was the complete lack of comprehensive patient education. My physician failed to communicate the critical nature of my condition, specifically the necessity for consistent daily medication management. Unlike standard protocols for chronic conditions such as hypertension or diabetes, no explicit guidance was provided about the essential nature of my prescribed treatment regimen. Even during our follow-up telehealth consultation during the lockdown period, no clarification was offered regarding my diagnosis of Ulcerative Colitis (UC), which I later learned was of a severe classification. This omission directly contributed to my discontinuation of medication, as I was entirely unaware of my autoimmune condition's significance. The absence of clear, transparent communication represents a fundamental breach of professional medical standards and patient trust. Such a significant oversight potentially compromises patient health and undermines the fundamental principles of informed medical care. I strongly recommend a comprehensive review of patient communication protocols to prevent similar situations in the future.

She's a good Dr but her nurse is horrible. We're sick of getting other people's test results on our voicemail instead of his results.Nurse usually has no idea who she's talking to constantly confusing him with other patients. Sure the people who we get results for want their results and don't want us hearing them instead. She also doesn't return calls, makes a lot of other mistakes. Might hurt someone because of not paying attention and making so many mistakes.

I'm used to doctors cutting me off when I talk, not really listening, & trying to get me out of the office as soon as possible. Because of that, I literally typed up what was going on with the intention of just handing it to the Dr. & being like, "Please just read this." I didn't have to do that. Dr. Maroo was a great listener. She worked with me instead of just giving me one option. I was very happy with my appointment & the help I received.

She performed an endoscopy and placed a peg for my husband. Her work as a doctor was outstanding. She is also a kind person who took an extra step to talk to me about things we had in common. This act of kindness was a balm to my stressed situation. I highly recommend Dr. Seema Maroo. She is certainly among the best. We are a family of doctors, and we recognize excellence when we see it. This applies to Dr. Maroo.

×Post a ResponseAre you Dr. Maroo?
I went to see Dr Moroo in December and she gave a trial medication. I called her assistant late Jan to see if I could get a prescription she called me to ask a question and she said she would call me back. Three weeks passed and I had not heard from her so I called again. Two days passed and no call so I called the office manager. A week later no call from her either. Very bad patient service needless so saw I will be seeing a new Doctor at a different practice.
