Dr. Selahattin Kurter, MD

Dr. Kurter is the best mental health professional I have ever seen. I have been in treatment centers and seen different doctors for addiction and mental health. Dr. Kurter is the most knowledgable of any specialist I have seen. He has a warm and friendly demeanor and has helped me through the worst times in my life. There is no other doctor I would recommend or trust with my care.

Some battle a lifetime to find a mental health doctor that is able to provide the care Dr. Kurter does. To be able to feel safe, regain your inner self and courage, learn to ground yourself and not lose your peace, to find more strengths within yourself that you did not know were there - are all precious gifts that are priceless and worth the time to work with such a man.

Dr. Kurter is so many things. Kind, caring, compassionate, warm, empathetic, knowledgeable. He is a great doctor. Highly recommend!

Dr. Kurter is the FIRST psychiatrist I have ever felt comfortable enough to talk to and share how I genuinely feel. He is a truly caring man and will spend the time necessary to assure the clients well being. I am beyond grateful I found him. He has honestly brought happiness back to my world!

Dr. K is very good at understanding individuals quickly and creative with prescribing medications that help. Very open to trying new meds or trying something different. He hangs in there with people until he gets it just right. I highly recommend him.

Dr. Kurter is absolutely amazing. He's very knowledgeable and helpful with so many issues. I am blessed to have him in my life. ? He actually gives a damn about others. He's not one of those doctor's that prescribe you pills and sends you on your way.. he tries to get to the root of your problem(s). I truly feel like God involved him in my life to save me. I was a patient of his many years ago and then when I needed a doctor, again, I called the first clinic I saw and ended up getting an appointment with him! It was meant to be.. I feel like I can talk to Dr. Kurter about any and everything. I feel very comfortable and relaxed around him. I wish all doctors were like this. I don’t get it. His website states that he is excepting new patients so I read all of his reviews and I think I would be a good fit. So I called to schedule a appointment and I was told that they are not taking new patients. Please help. I need some guidance.

Dr. Kurter is not only an excellent doctor but he is a man with a caring heart who genuinely loves people. He gives 100% of himself to his patients and goes above and beyond in caring for them and making sure they get the best care. He is sharp, knowledgeable, kind, thorough and a man of true integrity. I can’t say enough good things about Dr. Kurter! He is the best in his field and I highly recommend him!

First saw Dr Kurter 7-8 years ago. He is a huge part of the reason I am alive today. My life was a shambles, my health was in the toilet. He is compassionate, caring, always reachable. Can't say enough good things about him. Super smart, sharp, will not put up with our typical BS. He has seen it all. If you are serious about changing your life, he is the man.

Dr. Kurter is amazing. I can’t compliment his care enough. He really takes the time and I have never felt rushed. By some stroke of luck I found him prior to having to go through a number of doctors to find one whom I have a great rapport with. I highly recommend him.

Dr. Kurter is a great doctor. He is excellent at understanding how drugs work and assessing benefits vs. risks. He takes a lot of time listening to how he can help you and is very accessible and open to questions. He makes suggestions but ultimately leaves decisions with the patient on best treatment options. He returns calls quickly and really cares about helping his patients.

The first call, I was met with caring, compassion and understanding. The staff and Dr. Kurter are always respectful, courteous and empathetic. The road to recovery, as an addict would know, is full of bumps and bruises along the way, accepting the advise, counseling and medication therapy of Suboxone. If you have an opioid addiction, I highly recommend Dr. Kurter, he truly understands how Suboxone therapy works best for each individual. I don't know where I would be without this help!

Very professional, knowledgeable, and easy to talk to. Good with medications. Apparently, he is one of the best docs in Milwaukee, which I didn't know when I started working with him :).

From the 1st day I came to Dr. Kurter for help with a very difficult time in my life he has been very patient and concerned about me as a patient. He listens the way someone who truly cares making me the most important person in the room for the entire time of our visit.
