Dr. Semhal Abbay

Dr.Abbay is the best mental health professional that I have been to in many years. She really listens and seems genuinely concerned about your mental health and well-being. I see her through Oneida behavior health and she is very culturally competent when dealing with Native American people at least that is my experience. She doesn’t over prescribe stuff and she doesn’t push any particular medication on you. She’s very nice and respectful. I am glad that I see her and then she sees me. I hope this will help someone make the choice to give her a chance to work through whatever situation you need help with thank you

I had the privilege of working with Dr. Abbay, and can honestly say that I would absolutely recommend her to anyone. As someone working in the mental health field, I can confidently say that I would refer a loved one to see her, as she is genuine, caring, compassionate, listens to the concerns of the consumers and prescribes based on those specific needs and concerns. Those who work with her and those who utilize her services will be greatly benefited.

I have had the pleasure of working with Dr. Abbay for my consumers with developmental disabilities for 5+ years. She has a great sense of what is needed for my consumers to help manage their diagnoses and listens to what they have to say taking all accounts from everyone involved to best help the consumer. I was sad to hear she was leaving but am happy that she will be able to help others out there as she has done a wonderful job with my consumers the past 5+ years. All my consumers enjoyed working with her and had told me many times that they like her because she listens to them and was helpful. I would recommend Dr. Abbay to anyone.

I have had the opportunity to observe and contribute during many of her medication reviews and some psychiatric evaluations. I find Mr. Abbay to be a very skilled and compassionate psychiatrist and person. She takes time to listen and inquires about her patient's overall well-being, symptoms, and if there are any side effects. I would be happy to receive her services without hesitation or recommend her to others.

Dr. Abbay is a really good doctor. She listens to me and takes notes and got me on the medication that helped. I truly couldn’t ask for a better doctor. My mental health company is changing providers tho so I can’t see her anymore and I’m SAD!

Dr Abbay is a fantastic psychiatrist! She works well with individuals that have dual diagnoses (IDD and major MH issues). She really listens to her patients and always treats them with the upmost dignity and respect.

this doctor has to be a joke! she did not listen to me, wanted things her way, very arrogant. i would not recommend her to anyone!
