Dr. Sergio Lara, MD

The customer service of the staff was abysmal. It is disturbing how the new patient packet was not available to complete electronically. I have to question the competency of the staff and of this doctor who feels normal practice in 2022 is to require patients to drive to their office, ask for a new patient package that needs to be filled out by hand, then they physically return it or snail mailed to their office. I can only assume the appointment system relies on handwritten calendars and appointment books. I could not in good conscience even consider wasting my time or medical care to this doctor and being subjected to his rude staff, especially if their phone etiquette was a sample. This doctor and his office staff are geared for the non-computer aged generations, and definitely not for those of us who live in a more efficient modern world. I cannot verify his actual skill or bedside manner, but one must question his ability to stay current if he relies on pre-computer era processes.

I really like Dr. Lara and his staff. He is quick to seek other professional help if he feels your problem is beyond his area, but he and Gregg are very knowledgable. I like how they both listen and do not overprescribe. There may be a good bit of waiting to get in, but it's worth it. I trust him with both my husband's and my care.

In stead of the nurses returning calls between patients they wait until the office is closed forcing you to go to the ER. Dr. Lara maybe a great doctor but I wish his nursing staff was better.

Dr.Lara is my dad's provider, He compassionite,caring and patient with my elderly dad. I would highly recommend him.

Highly intelligent, inquisitive and analytical but very practical and down-to-earth, very commonsensical approach to medicine and treatment of his patients. A man of deep faith, compassionate and caring and very friendly. I start to feel better just seeing him come into the exam room.

Dr. Lara always unavailable. Takes a very long time to get back to you. And if you get worse his nurse will tell you go to ER. He is in office only three days out of the week. And that is rare.
