Dr. Sergio Pausa, DMD

Dr Pausa has been warm friendly and totally trustworthy. My visits are comforting and trustworthy . I have and will continue to recommend Dr. PausaI had not visited for a few years, but when my need arose, he was on top of all past problems.

About 8 years ago I went to Dr Pausa for a tooth extraction (what was left of a badly broken tooth) and after it healed, went back to him for a tooth implant replacement, and I was very satisfied with the results. Recently I had a problem with a wisdom tooth and today he extracted it quickly without any problems using a local anesthetic (Lidocaine). Another oral surgery office wanted to do general anesthesia or sedation costing thousands of dollars. I had absolutely no pain during the procedure with Dr Pausa, and very little pain even after the Lidocaine wore off. I highly recommended Dr Pausa, and his prices are very reasonable compared to other oral surgeons I contacted.

Very knowledgeable and kind. Took the time to explain everything clearly and answer questions. Procedure and recovery went very well. His team is very courteous as well.

After having had a tooth (No. 20) pulled by my regular dentist I was looking at getting an implant. During the initial (visual) exam Dr. Pausa did not wear a mask - during a pandemic! Since I was not sure whether he was within guidelines I did not say anything (no one else in the office seemed to wear a mask either). My appointment for the bone graft followed on July 28. When I was taken into the treatment room I had a strong uh-oh moment - there was a crucifix above the door. The message that this conveyed to me was that the doc did not trust his professional skills, and I should have walked out right there and then, but I stuck it out. He and his assistant did wear masks that time, but there were no other safety precautions that I can recall. And as if to confirm my fears I ended up being badly bruised and swollen, and that did not fully heal for a good 7 weeks!
