I would recommend Dr. Sergio Rivera to anyone.
His staff is great, Esther is amazing! very thorough, not rushed. Explains everything. I'm going to experience two more surgeries and I am 100% confident with Dr. Sergio and his staff.

Avoid at all costs
Rude. Demeaning. Dismissive. Patronizing. I have never left a review for a doctor, but I had to for this guy. Extremely unprofessional and his bedside manner is awful. Does not care about you at all. Do not see this doctor. Also, this whole facility is not great. I have had nothing but stress since day one with this place. Do yourself a favor and go elsewhere.

In July of 2015 Dr. Rivero put a metal plate between my L4 and L5 to give my nerves room to roam without hurting me. The moment I woke up, I knew the surgery had been a success because I no longer had pain in my right leg. I have recommended him many times when I have heard of others needing any kind of back surgery.I am planning to have a much larger procedure performed by him very soon. I have confidence that he will be able to resolve my problems so I can live without this pain!

Dr. Rivero performed my neck fusion (ACDF lev 2) this year and positive results happened immediately . The procedure went as well as it could have possibly gone . I saw him atleast 5 times before the surgery and he made sure it was the right time before he would operate .. While in the hospital he saw me everyday and made sure I had the best possible care . The best surgeon in Tucson , if not the State !

The experience I had for my situation was beyond excellent. Dr. River was extremely knowledgeable and compassionate. He explained everything very well, and performed the surgery even better. I had less pain and fewer spots along my spine that hurt constantly. I am so happy I was able to have him for s surgeon. I will be back for my other surgeries as well. Thank you so very much Dr. River

Misdiagnosed a failed spinal fusion with plate and screw movement as carpel tunnel. Dismissive, condescending, opinionated...need I say more?
