Dr. Sethu Madhavan, MD

I have been with Dr Madhavan for 34 years. I had major gastroenterology problems most of my life. Dr Madhavan always sends me to the most qualified specialists when I need one. USC Keck for Gastro surgery, city of hope for gall bladder surgery, City of hope for prostate surgery. USC Keck for a hernia. He called in an infectious disease specialist at a time I contacted a staff infection. He is very attentive and helpful. He also treats my mother in law who is 98. He keeps us both ticking.

This man ruined my life with a laser colon surgery in my twenties.Here I am 49 years old and still having complications from it.My biggest regret in my life,the one day I wish I could go back and re do over again was that day I got that surgery from this man.

Calm, well-spoken experienced professional. Trustworthy and that says a lot from me as I generally do not trust doctors. I also prefer women doctors but was willing to make an exception for him. Have had a endoscopy and a colonoscopy from him and both procedures went well.

I like him and trust him with my colonoscopy.

This doctor is responsible for my mom's death. She was sick, drastically losing weight for A YEAR, seeing him every month to find out why. Finally, mymom is on her death bed and he tests her for cancer! Yes, genius. Then he KEEPS her as HIS patient and DOES NOT SEND HER TO AN ONCOLOGIST, yelled at family who wanted her to go see an oncologist, says there'd be too many cooks in the kitchen with an oncologist involved and says he's having off-record discussions w/oncologist about it. Mom dies.
