Very caring, took time to explain/and used white board to make sure I knew exactly what ahead of me treatment wise. Talked to my wife to make sure she had all her questions answered. Told us that if we thought of any other questions to make sure we wrote them down for the next visit. He actually called himself the next day to see how we were coping with everything. Office staff are amazing as well.

When we moved from Arizona to Indiana, my husband had previously been treated by a hematologist in Indiana for Myelodysplastic syndrome for over four years. When we returned for our second visit Dr. Sayar told us there was nothing wrong and discharged him. Since that visit he has been treated by another IU Health physician and has needed a transfusion I would definitely not recommend this physician. I am a retired RN with a BS Degree and a former nurse case manager.

My son was suffering with critically low anemia. We had seen one Hematologist that we were not happy with and who wouldn't tell us much. We met Dr. Sayar and he went over my son results and explained to us what he thought the cause of the anemia was. He also performed a biopsy the same day that we were there. When the results came in he was correct on the diagnosis. We found him to be friendly and professional. We are so grateful that we found him. We would recommend him to others.
