She is not nice, only comes in, starts typing on her laptop while looking at me and asking questions, then prints it out and gives it to me as I leave. She misdiagnosed me for two years with a horrible disease and gave me high meds which I had bad side effects. Finally, after 1 1/2, I stopped meds, and got a 2nd opinion. I DO NOT have that horrible disease. Feeling great now and not depressed knowing I do not have to see her ever again.

We saw this person 3 times looking for help with diagnosed Alzheimer's disease. What we received was absolutely nothing. We are relieved to learn that this person is being replaced. We feel sorry that patients at another hospital will be subjected to this person.

She does not listen. She makes judgements based on biased in office assessment instead of testing like PET scans. She does not keep current treatments and if you bring up a test or treatment she will not research it she will just put you down. Very self focused.

I was referred to Dr Kurshuk due to my last neurologists retirement. I find that my care is excellent. I really feel I am being taken care of. She listens and we are able to talk things through. I read some of the other comments and have not had any of those experiences. You get out what you put in. I participate in my care, I feel that there is true compassion and Dr Kurshuk will do what’s necessary to help me. I know the office can get busy, but I’m a patient person, the waits have been fine.

While she may have the training to be a competent physician, her lack of any bedside manner whatsoever and condescending attitude when she's over an hour late for every one of my appointments with her is why I will be looking for a new doctor asap.

Can't get in to see her. Always told to go to ER. What good is a Dr. If she sends her patients to the E.R. I can find the E.R all by myself. I don't need a neurologist for that.. Very dissatisfied with her.

Terrible bedside manner, does not listen to you. Makes you feel it's "all in your head". Does not acknowledge the invisible aspects of neurological disease and the huge affect they have on your life. Pretentious and demeaning. She belittled all of my concerns that she could not see, measure, or quantify. Your just grey matter on a stick. One star too many.

Disappointed in Petoskey – May 03, 2017
×Post a ResponseAre you Dr. Shafer Zunt Zunt Kur?
This physician has the worst bedside manners of any doctor I have ever seen. She doesn't listen, jumps to conclusions, was horribly offensive during the first session, assuring there would be no repeat visit. She should have picked another profession as people are not a skill set she manages well.

She tends to change medications on her patients. She doesn't listen to them and blames them when she cancels tests.
