Dr. Shahid Farooqui, MD

I have been a patient of Dr. Farooqui’s for over 20 years. He is always extremely thorough and kind. He leaves no stone unturned and always gets to the root of your problem; I trust him explicitly.

My husband & I been patient for over 25 yrs. we also bought our 4 sons to see Dr.Farooqui My mother was also patient before she passed away, we both would drive over 30 minutes for our appointments. My nephew is also patient & loves Dr. Farooqui He cares for his patients as if there were his own family He not like other Doctors In & Out he takes his time to check you discuss in detail, findings and how to treat you. He is extremely knowledgeable He is very trusting & knowledgeable doctor I have ever met We’re lucky to have met him

My 85 year old mother has been seeing Dr. Farooqui for about 25 years. When he first saw her, it was because her previous doctor was out of town and we needed another to get to bottom of why she wasn't feeling well. On her first visit, he quickly recognized that she was in congestive heart failure (which the previous doctor didn't; only gave her cough syrup!) and pretty much saved her life by getting her right into the hospital and with medical treatment that she needed. He saved her life again a decade later, and when she was at the hospital he came at all hours of day & night to check in and see how she was, always diagnosing. Over the years she has seen a lot of specialists under his recommendations and they have always been top-of-their-field. Now that she has moved in with me, we drive an hour to visit his office and it's worth the trip. Yes, you'll wait for a bit before heading back to the exam room, but that is because he truly listens and takes his time with patients. Worth it.

Only concerned with maximizing insurance billing. Orders tests which are not needed. Unprofessional. Avoid him

Dr. Farooqui was not only rude on several different occasions, he also lost my immunization records! Not only is he condescending, but the office is not organized. I usually had to wait 30 minutes or more after my appointment time to be taken to a room, then wait even longer for him to finally come in. In the past, he made fun of my appearance, and told me to shave my armpits more often, that I wasn't "feminine" enough. It was so embarrassing and uncomfortable.

Dr. Farooqui is a wonderful doctor! I had a condition that left me feeling half dead; no appetite, virtually no energy and a constant low grade fever. He was like a tenacious detective trying to solve this mystery. He called in specialists to advise him and went to great lengths to solve my problem. He did and now, several years later, I'm healthy, active and well. Thank you Dr. Farooqui!
