Dr. Shailaja Pulisetty, MD

Dr Pulisetty is the best doctor my mother has had since I moved her here 5 years ago. My mother was on over 15 medications from her previous facility and Dr Pulisetty went over them with me one by one. She was very knowledgeable about which medications were safe for elderly and which ones were not. I appreciated the time she spent with me on the phone and the time she spent with my mother in the nursing home. This has been a very positive experience for us and I finally feel like someone is taking good care of my mother's needs.

I have known Dr.P as a staff at this nursing home for last 5 yrs. I personally found her very knowledgeable and if my family member ever needs a doctor at this facility, I will choose her only. She does not over prescribe medicines. She is the only board certified geriatrician at this facility. Another good thing, this doctor is always available to talk to families unlike other docs.

She was overseeing my mother at Integrity Health Columbia, IL. Told my sister my mom was too much of a problem for her when she was confronted about medication that caused our mother to go into a stuporous state where she could not function. Mom was admitted to the hospital and transferred to a different facility. This doctor hung up on my sister after telling her she would not change her medication and to find another doctor within 30 days. Unacceptable behavior from a doctor.
