Dr. Shamoli Khanderia, DO

Came into the room without knocking and without apology for barging in while I was talking to the nurse. Proceeded to send away the nurse before we were finished, did not ever ask me a question or how I was doing despite me being visibly on the verge of tears due to my personal situation. Didn’t take a single look at the mental health questionnaire that I filled out (which had to be followed up by other staff later once my answers had been recorded). Rudely said the front desk “has no medical knowledge”. Got up and said “bye” as she opened the door and left after about 5 minutes. She proceeded to talk loudly about my appointment in the hall with other staff. Would not recommend you see her for anything mental health related.

Dr. Khanderia did not listen at all to my concerns and even tried to gaslight me. It felt like she wanted to leave the room quickly as possible and get it done despite only being there for less than 4 minutes. I felt horrible after leaving the appointment and quickly called to schedule with a different doctor.

I love Dr. Khanderia. I have moved away from Ann Arbor and honestly it has been stressful to try and find a new doctor knowing how great and rare a doctor like Dr. Khanderia is. When I saw Dr. K, I was in law school and going through the stress of that as well as a series of increasingly absurd personal life crises. Dr. K considered my health holistically and was so thoughtful in making sure all of my care was coordinated. She was also funny and helpful even when there was so much going on. She’s also really responsive to email or messages left. I miss Dr. K!!! Highly recommend.

Dr Khanderia is probably one of the worst providers I've ever seen in my life. She didnt take the time to explain anything, she's rude, dismissive, not very knowledgeable and a danger to her patients as far as I'm concerned. It's been very clear to me that this is just a paycheck to her, I even felt like some of the nurses were trying to steer me clear of her/apologize for her rudeness. Avoid if possible.

Dr. Khanderia was the worst doctor in the entire world. She was very rude and inconsiderate, and wouldn't take the time to let me explain my symptoms and concerns. Then she booted me out of her office while I was crying.

Dr. Khanderia was professional, kind, and patient with me. She really set me at ease even though I was nervous and having a hard time during my pap smear. I would definitely recommend her to anyone.
